Re: Copy data from one hard drive to another and keep hardlinks intact
Thanks. I forgot that the great Link Shell Extension by Hermann Schinagl can do it. Will now use this for the time being.

Copy data from one hard drive to another and keep hardlinks intact
I got a folder structure of 500GB with about 200,000 files, of which thousands are hardlinks. I'd like to duplicate the data to another SSD, but keep all hardlinks intact. Most file managers create duplicates of the files that were connected by hardlinks, when copying. Can XYplorer duplicate the dat...

Re: Windows Explorer "skin" for XYPlorer?
It is however a US-owned company, and in the US HQ, there is not a trace to be found of tag-based file management either

Re: Info panel → Find → Content should have Boolean mode
In Info panel: I can select Boolean in "Find by name and location" but cannot in "Find by content"?! Hi, this still seems to be the case, right? How do I search file contents for term1 OR term2 then? Edit -- I think I found it: use RegExp for the search mode and term1|term2 as s...

Re: Windows Explorer "skin" for XYPlorer?
Unfortunately, not even started...
Probably it will take another decade or so before we even start to talk about tag-based file management in the company.
They are still in the process of getting rid of paper-based file management

Re: Is it possible to select multiple types in a search?
Hello all, is this still not (easily) possible? I'd like to search for *.doc and *.docx and *.txt files simultaneously if possible. I tried this in the Name field of the Search dialog: *.doc | *.docx | *.txt ...but it didn't seem to work. Thanks for ideas! Edit: Oh wow it DOES work now. I had errone...

Windows Explorer "skin" for XYPlorer?
Hi all,
I'd like to introduce XYPlorer gradually in my company's teams, particularly with respect to the awesome Multi User Tagging feature.
For a seamless transition -- is there an icons/settings collection or skin that makes XYPlorer look and feel similar to Windows Explorer for a start?
Thanks!

Re: Alternate Data Streams
OMG I literally just stumbled on ADS, file Tags and Comments on NTFS files. THIS IS A KILLER THING that I need like mad (for a global company I am advising on document management). If anyone has any resources handy to point me to --- PLS do so. If there should be a way to implement a robust comment/...

Re: Change the defaults for what columns display.
Define your column layout Menu - View - Folder View Settings - Define this Folder View as Default File - Save Settings Aaaahhg -- this doesn't seem to work anymore, at least not fully? I did exactly all of the above, then switched to dual panel layout, and sure enough, the other panel still had the...
