Re: File xfer (multiple or single) over subnet
You're quite welcome and glad to help!! :) I wanted to clarify about my file xfer test....I didn't xfer the files 1 @ a time (click/copy/paste) and that typically wasn't the problem if the file wasn't too big (i.e. <1 GB?). I clicked on all 6 then did a Copy/Paste so that all 6 files were queued up ...

Re: File xfer (multiple or single) over subnet
Great and thx. I d/l'd and installed (V19.10.0209 beta). Since I used the noinstall version, that did not affect the XYplorer.ini file so I added the tweak as suggested (under the "[Custom Copy]" header). If for some reason I decide to go back to 19.10.0200 and I leave the tweak, will that...

Re: File xfer (multiple or single) over subnet
Appreciate the response. I checked and Custom Copy is enabled (tho, I don't specifically remember doing so). I followed the FAQ about tweaking and, sure enuf, that tweak doesn't exist in my version (19.10.0200). Can I add that tweak and have it work? Or do I need to download 19.10.0201 (sounds like ...

Re: File xfer (multiple or single) over subnet
Apologies for that. I'll mind my manners better. Thx.

File xfer (multiple or single) over subnet
First off, XYplorer is great. I've gotten to the point where I almost never (well, mostly almost :) use Win File Explorer anymore. I have noticed something that I'm not sure is a bug, a design "consideration" or an option I have yet to set. I'm on Win 10 Pro, latest version/updates install...

Re: Auto-refresh - A setting for auto-refresh rate?
OK. That makes sense (and maybe a bit of "D'oh!" with that).
Maybe, then, it's my system's occasional response time that's bothering me. I'll have to go back and think on this a bit more.
Thx and cheers....

Auto-refresh - A setting for auto-refresh rate?
I'll admit I didn't do an exhaustive search of the forum, but did not see this topic in the search I did. Apologies if I missed it somewhere.... Is there a setting I can specify for how often auto-refresh updates the directory list(s)? i.e. Every second, 5 secs, etc. If there isn't, might this be so...

Re: Cut/Move (old topic?)
Actually, it did work. Unchecked the box and Cut/Paste is now a move function. Rechecked the box and Cut/Paste was back to a Copy/Paste function. Thanks for the help. It does not make a difference here, but you might try to uncheck "Show the 64-bit context menu". Just a shot into the dark....

Re: Cut/Move (old topic?)
Not sure what you mean by "64-bit context menu". I downloaded/installed the only version I can see is available. I am on Win 7, 64-bit. Is there something else I need to know/understand? Edit: Just found this under Other/64-bit Windows. The boxes are checked for both "Show the real Sy...

Cut/Move (old topic?)
Hi all, I'm on V15.10.0000 and I've noticed a Cut/Paste only copies a file(s) and doesn't always move it. This was a previous topic some years (2006) back about a similar/same issue that supposedly was corrected (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=847). Here's what doesn't work: 1....

Trying to make changes in settings....
OK, so I've come up with something else that seems odd. When I go into settings and attempt to change "XYplorer in shell context menu" I get a window that says I need to be an admin...no problem. So, I exit out of XYplorer, restart as admin in order to effect the changes I want. I never ma...

Re: Odd Behavior, Part Deux
I wanted to circle back around on this to provide an update. I downloaded and installed the most recent release (V14.20.0200). I used the unzip/copy method this time and had no problems at all. I'm curious. Was something changed to deal with the alternate data stream issue? I also noticed when I loo...

Re: Odd Behavior, Part Deux
No problem! I also have RAR but prefer WinZip. I haven't tried the re-zip experiment, yet. However, has the download file been changed? I decided to download the zip version again just to compare it with the unblocked version. When I looked at Properties, the "Block" option (w/box) was no ...
