Quick question: What keyboard shortcut to jump back and forth between list and Tags pane
Thanks for a simple question - I cannot discern among the hundreds of keyboard shortcuts which to use. I frequently jump back and forth between the main list (with a single file highlighted) and the Tags pane (with the "Tags" edit box active) for rapid tagging of one file after another. Ar...

Re: Is there an embedded text editor in XYplorer?
Note: The script from @highend, above (https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=16754#p144316) works perfectly. Just add it to a custom button in the toolbar, and when you select a text file, then click the button, the contents of the text file appear in an edit box, where you can edit it, then...

Re: XYplorer crashes when previewing pdf
For anybody reading this who really wants an outstanding PDF previewer (given that Adobe's has problems, and the suggested ones aren't so great), if you have the money to spoon out, Bluebeam Revu has an excellent 32-bit PDF previewer (in addition to 64-bit) with a toggle to choose which one to use.

Re: Crash with paper folders open
The problem seems to be resolved... I have Bluebeam Revu installed, which has an outstanding 32-bit PDF preview handler (in addition to a 64-bit preview handler).
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I'll follow that suggestion and post here if the issue is resolved (as it likely will be).

Re: Crash with paper folders open
Update: I reproduced the crash as follows (just once - could not reproduce a second time following these steps): - With the Preview pane showing (and Acrobat Professional's preview handler showing the full PDF), I dragged a PDF file from the bottom pane into the paper folder in the top pane XY insta...

Crash with paper folders open
Hello. XY is crashing (for the first time in my many years of using it!). I have just started using paper folders today and somehow suspect this might be related, as in the past hour, often when clicking into the other pane (Pane 2) after a paper folder in Pane 1 was just active, XY crashes. I might...

Is it possible to display the 'status' column used by OneDrive?
Hello - When you use OneDrive, there is a 'status' column in Windows Explorer that shows an icon providing the OneDrive status for the given file or folder. I'd love to be able to see this column (and its status icons) when viewing the OneDrive folder in XYPlorer, but I do not see the 'status' colum...

Re: Difficulty opening PNG and GIF files from XYplorer
After an hour of frustration, this fix worked for me. Note: A longer discussion thread with a seeming fix did NOT work for me: https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16265&start=15 Also note: To run gpedit directly from the Start menu, just typing 'gpedit' was not enough to get it...

Re: Is there a keyboard shortcut to copy the contents of the address bar without making it active first?
That one-line script is simple enough - I added a keyboard association for it - now I don't need to cycle through F6 + copy to get a copy of what's in the address bar. Works great. Thanks!
(Note: Almost always what is in the address bar for me is a folder path.)

Is there a keyboard shortcut to copy the contents of the address bar without making it active first?
Hello! Regarding the subject: I looked through the keyboard shortcut section of the Help file, and I did see a keyboard shortcut for making the address bar active, so I suppose I can do the following: - Press keyboard shortcut to make the address bar active - Press keyboard shortcut to Select All - ...

How to set XYPlorer to recognize USB drives when inserted...
Greetings. I noticed today that when I insert a USB thumb drive, it does not appear alongside the other drives (C:, etc.) in XYPlorer. This is true even after I hit F5 to refresh.
How do I set XYPlorer to recognize USB thumb drives when inserted?
Thanks,
Dan

Possible to see what tabset is open at a glance?
Hello -
For multiple tabsets, I'd like to know if there's a way to just glance at the user interface and see which tabset is currently open.
Thanks!
Dan

Possible to have toolbar button to open / save a tabset?
Hello - The only thing that stands between me, and using multiple tabsets, is the lack of a toolbar button to automatically open a particular named tabset (and another to automatically save it, and yet another to automatically revert it). I couldn't figure out how to do this after a few minutes of h...
