Timestamping using <focitem>
Hi, I'm interested in using the new timestamp functionality but I'm struggling to get my head around the <focitem> code mentioned in the examples on the release notes page. For instance, in the the first example given: timestamp , <focitem>; "Sets all 3 dates of all selected List items to match...

Re: How to check selected item is a folder?
Thank you for the quick response. It would appear that '2' indicates that the item is a "folder; drive; share; server". Is this as accurate a distinction as it is possible to make? Running my rename script on a drive (admittedly not something that should occur in use) results in a script e...

How to check selected item is a folder?
Hi,
I'm fairly new to XYplorer scripting so I'm experimenting with a simple script to append a word to the selected folder name. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to verify that the selected item is a folder before performing the rename?
Many Thanks!

Re: Forward and back mouse buttons broken when running as Ad
I am, but on Windows 7 so hopefully that won't prove to be an issue.

Re: Forward and back mouse buttons broken when running as Ad
Success!
Closing SetPoint caused the buttons to work in both normal and admin modes so that proved that it was the cause of the issue. So, I ran SetPoint as an admin and voila, wotking back / forward buttons in XYplorer and Chrome as both normal and admin users.
Many thanks for your help!

Re: Forward and back mouse buttons broken when running as Ad
Good thinking! I've just tried running Chrome as an Admin and the buttons don't work. I am running SetPoint so I think you might be right that running any app as an admin is preventing SetPoint from interacting with it due to the two programs effectively running as different users. I'll try running ...

Re: Forward and back mouse buttons broken when running as Ad
Thanks for the quick reply. I've just checked in my XYplorer.ini file and XButtonSupport is already set to '1' but I ran your code anyway, just in case, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. (I ought to have mentioned that the back/forward mouse buttons do work as long as I don't run XYpl...

Forward and back mouse buttons broken when running as Admin
I didn't want to file this under 'Bugs', as I'm not sure if it is, but when I run (portable) XYplorer as an administrator (xyplorer.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an administrator) the back and forward buttons on my mouse stop working, just in XYplorer. Any ideas whether this...

Re: Middle-Click Go Home
Well no point hoping it gets promoted to the GUI until Don sees fit to bless us with an INI tweak. ;) Doh, that'll teach me to try to run before I've learned to walk! Yes, CEA_ListMiddleClickOnWhite is the way to go Many thanks, Don. I'll definitely be pleased to see this (funny the small things wh...

Re: Middle-Click Go Home
My thinking exactly! Sorry I missed your reply while I was typing mine.Currently, it is rather wasteful to have middle-click on empty space do nothing
I'll give the INI tweak a try and hope that Don considers this worthy of inclusion in the Configuration screen in a future release

Re: Middle-Click Go Home
I think it's enough, no need to middle click on empty List. Please don't take offence if I disagree with this. One of the great things about XYplorer is that it usually has multiple ways of accomplishing a given task. This allows for a wide variety of users to select their preferred method without ...

Re: Middle-Click Go Home
Thank you
That's a good question. I think the status bar message would be a good idea; it's unobtrusive but informative and would maintain consistency.

Middle-Click Go Home
Really loving XYplorer!
Please would you consider adding the option to 'go home' by middle-clicking on empty space (similar to Dbl-click to go up)? I know you can do this by middle-clicking on the tab but I think this would be faster still.
Many Thanks,
