Why is the 64 bit version still labelled beta?

As I understand it the 64 bit version was 'released' officially on Oct 15. Yet, it still seems to be referred to in various places on the web site and forums as beta. Are official and beta releases not mutually exclusive? I only noticed this some time after I migrated to 64 bit, and at this stage I ...

Re: Any update on TB version release date?

Thanks, I had only read part of that. So looks like I can simply install the new version and run in parallel with the old until I fully commit. Fabulous stuff.

Any update on TB version release date?

Has been a month or so now by my reckoning since the "will be released in a few days" message appeared on the home page. Perils of getting people's hopes up!

Any more indication of the official release date?

XYplorer64 TB v27.90.0020 - Two performance issues

Trialling the noinstall version.

1. App consistently takes thirty seconds to start.

2. Navigating to \\wsl.localhost paths takes a similar amount of time. This operation is also not too quick in 27.00.0100.

Once it can really replace the old XYVB version it will probably get a "BETA Versions for Download" thread as well (or will be integrated into the current one)

Right, but at the moment it looks like one needs to do a bit of searching to find where in the thread it is. Is that the case, or am I being a bit blind? Would be nice if e.g. post one could be updated to hold the most current release.

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++

Hi,

Excited to try the new TB version. I notice there are some links to a beta earlier in this thread, but was wondering if there is a specify place where links to the most current beta live?

UTF8 file not rendered correctly in preview

Hi,

I have a UTF8 file containing the pound (£) character. If I preview (C-F11) the file, the £ character renders as Â.

How can I fix please?

Here's another already existing option: the Hamburger in the Bread Crumb bar is good place to build a fave structure.
Not following you. What's the hamburger in the breadcrumb bar?

Follow-up: Ah, found it. Thanks, this looks intriguing.

I would like to nest my favourite folders

Not sure if this feature already exists, but here goes... My list of favourite folders is getting pretty long so I'm looking for a different way to structure them. Currently all faves are in a flat list: fave folder 1 fave folder 2 -- fave folder 3 fave folder 4 -- fave folder 5 I was wondering if i...

Menu colours

I use dark mode in Windows 10. This tends to set the background of app and context menus to a dark colour, and the menu text to light. In XYplorer 20.90 the app and context menu background is light and the menu text is dark, even with dark mode activated in the settings. How can I achieve a dark men...
