Resolved. Tried this script with a fresh install, had no problem updating. Seems something was wrong in that beta version of XY itself.
Updated my XY manually and now updater is working as expected.

I am getting this error since last few days (XY ver. 15.00.0517) whenever i run simple updater script. Has anyone getting the same error?

MDBU preview on file icons appears on the first screen even if the XY window is open on second screen. Nowadays i almost always work on my LCD monitor which is attached to my laptop, so every time i try MDBU i have to turn left to see the preview in laptop screen. Would be great if you can fix this ...
