Re: High DPI
Also if this is ticked: Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Open files from 64-bit process" yes, this is ticked what do you mean by opening by "Open With" / Excel / Always -> correct DPI settings I select an Excel file, choose "Open With" from the c...

Re: High DPI
hi @Admin, I did this: "add your Excel extensions to Tools | Customize File Associations... and open them with Excel from there. Double-click will work." But unfortunately double click or "open" from context menu still opens Excel files with wrong DPI settings. I am not sure what...

Re: High DPI
my mistake, sorry, I meant "Open by Shell" and not "Open With".
I did Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Open files from 64-bit process .
Unfortunately, still I have opening by "Open"= "doubleclick" -> wrong DPI settings

I only have the 64-bit context menu. I do not have the "Open by Shell" in the context menu at all, unless it is a configurable option?

Re: High DPI
probably... It could have been some other change that happened recently causing the issue. I still think XYplorer should be able to open a common program like Excel respecting the DPI environment by double clicking. It does open Excel correctly by using Open With. What exactly is the difference betw...

Re: High DPI
I have the same issue on high DPI screens, (Win11 Pro, Office 360) but it only started since 1-2 months or so, ca. from version 24.00. I am on 24.20 now. If I double-click an Excel file in XYplorer, the cells are large (lots of padding) and dialogs (e.g. Save as) have the buttons cut off, sou you do...

Re: slow renaming of folders on Win10
Hi all, I wanted to check with you if there is any visibility on a solution for the issue in this post? Meanwhile I run XYp 18.30 and the newest official Win10 updates. The slowness when renaming a new folder while XYp is running is still the same and still annoying. If you Google "Win10 slow o...

Re: slow renaming of folders on Win10
Is your recycle bin extremely full? Not really. I had 105 items in the recycle bin, which I now deleted. I do have success though in eliminating the issue: I usually have 20-30 tabs open in Chrome and that eats up quite a lot of memory. I now deinstalled standard Chrome and installed Chrome Canary....

No, they are new folders most of the time, thus they are emptyadmin wrote:Do those renamed folders contain a huge number of items?
No, I do not use tagging at all.admin wrote:Do you use XYplorer's tagging? (How many items have you tagged?)

Re: slow renaming of folders on Win10
This is not normal. Do you have any 3rd party software running that watches the file system? Nothing comes to mind. I use Defender and Malwarebytes for protection. I did use Kaspersky until about 3 months ago but I had completely removed it. Apart from that, there should be nothing else. What 3rd p...

Re: slow renaming of folders on Win10
I did try completely uninstalling XYPlorer and reinstalling it, no difference there. Except now I can not drag and drop files from and to XPlorer from/to Desktop. Drag and drop works fine from/to any other folder just not from Desktop. Totally weird. That looks like a rights issue. Run as XYplorer ...
