Scripted paste of image from clipboard
I often use #206 paste image from clipboard to new png file for documentation I want to make this more efficient in two respects if anyone can advise a) I don't want to keep renaming the new created file. Most commonly I would want to name it the same as the currently selected file but with an appen...

Re: Visual Filter on Extra Column of date format
Wow that looks interesting thank you. It seems to work but not sure how. Why does it put the text "Windows benchmarking with scores from all machines"|"windows95-2.2.1-win32-standalone-x64" into the live filter box. That text seems critical because if you clear it the filter is c...

Re: Visual Filter on Extra Column of date format
Thank you - good to know the limits of possibility. Seems to me it would be an incredibly useful thing to be able to do somehow, whether by Visual filter or otherwise - to easily filter (or quicksearch) a large selection of files/folders by some sort of assigned threshold or due date. A bit like the...

Visual Filter on Extra Column of date format
I have Extra5 defined as type Date with Name Due I figured out that dates entered as say 4/4/2021 display the same as those entered as 2021-04-04 but I have all mine entered in the format 2021-04-04 I would like, if possible to do a visual filter to exclude all dates beyond (or prior to and includin...

Re: Partially equalising settings in two XYPlorer instances
Yes it might be most sensible to synchronise everything and then have separate mechanisms for some things.

Partially equalising settings in two XYPlorer instances
I am wanting to run two different versions of XYPlorer on my machine (the exact details are not relevant here, but basically I use a completely different set of external hard drives via a different boot sequence). There is no problem having two different portable XYPlorer's on the same machine. What...

Re: Possible bug with [LookIn]
Issue remains in latest version and is easily demonstrated Here the directory at zero position of [Lookin] is C:\Users\aubrey1\Pictures\ (and there is no other reference to this folder anywhere in the config) xyplorer1.jpg I then closed the bottom area (in case its visibility does anything) I then c...

Re: Possible bug with [LookIn]
Not 100% sure what you will see there but here is a screenshot after I open Xyplorer. As I said, the disk access depends on the last used [Lookin] and changes when that changes.

Re: Possible bug with [LookIn]
Apologies for the delay. Not sure what to screenshot -- nothing would be visible within XYPlorer - it is simply a disk access which you can detect using other software (the relevant screenshots are in my first post). It is 100% reproducible so I think it you use a process monitor you should see the ...

Re: Possible bug with [LookIn]
Nope.. No tabs open except downloads folder (C drive) in each pane. No folder sizes. Nothing in config ini pointing to that folder except the previous search.

Re: Possible bug with [LookIn]
Yup 100% reproducible. Every single time Xyplorer is opened Process Monitor (or Process Explorer too) shows an Xyplorer access to this folder. If I change the folder to something else, the access (to that folder) stops. The problem may be that "access at startup to retrieve the icon" that ...
