Re: High Resolution Icons for 1080p & Beyond?
I find that it's best not to play with display scaling on windows. A lot of programs have an old code based and when they were written scaling didn't even exist as a concept. Most monitors were tiny and low res for a great many years. Remember that XYplorer has been written over the course of more t...

Re: Customize tiles view
Also would like to hide the file date, time and version. So you don't find the extra info useful? That's what makes XY display better because it does show this... No, when I want to see that much detail I would just switch to "details view". It should be possible to customize a shortcut k...

Re: Customize titlebar
I'm always greedy for screen space, so I want to hide titlebar too. But, I won't bother Don because there's nice workaround: Simply move the window up a bit => titlebar will be off-screen. That's all When i start using xyplorer I think I will use autohotkey to hide the toolbar, that seems to be the...

Re: Customize tiles view
Unfortunately not. Tiles view is mostly mimicking Windows Explorer so those limitations are from that. Does it ? I'm would be happy with mimicking the Windows Explorer tiles view for example, but on my system WE tiles and XY tiles look totally different as well. Compare the following 3 screenshots ...

Re: Customize titlebar
Definitely not arbitrary. Same reason why you have "Toyota", "BMW", "Coca Cola", "Audi", "Ford" on your car. Not quite. On my car the brand is on the outside while I'm inside, so it doesn't bother me while I drive. In an application the ti...

Thanks for the heads up!j_c_hallgren wrote: I've noticed that you've got a few threads related to this topic which is ok but I'm just cautioning you that some others who have wished to get XY to look like product "x" have been given the "then use 'x'" by Don at times.

Customize tiles view
is there a way to customize large tiles view ? Right now I'm stuck with very small icons. Also would like to hide the file date, time and version. The file name is too short and can't be read for files with long names! Finally, the spacing (both horizontal and vertical) between the files is too clos...

Why is <app> mandatory ??binocular222 wrote:<app> is madatory
To center it, simply add enough space to the beginning
Another arbitrary decision!?

Customize titlebar
Is it possible to customize the text in the title bar so that only the path is shown?? TitlebarTemplate="<path>" does work because <app> must be in there, I want it removed. Also, is it possible to align the text to the left instead of center ? There should be someway to do these things no ?

Re: Hide titlebar and menu
Good to know that at least there are hacks to do this.
Still, not having the min, max, close buttons is a shame.
I wonder why more applications don't use the chrome style for tabs and no title and menu.
The only app that I know of that uses them is Clover

Hide titlebar and menu
I wish to hide the title bar of the application (completely like chrome does). I also wish to hide the main menu. The windows buttons (minimize, maximise and close) can go on the right side of the toolbar for example. I know this is not possible and will not be planned for future versions of XYplore...
