Re: Bug opening files with overlong paths (259+ characters)
This might not be related, but since around version 25.90.0148 onwards XY has been misbehaving when it comes to passing arguments that contain spaces to commands. I have a number of bash scripts that I run from XY. These bash scripts take the selected entries from the list view as arguments. For exa...

Folder View Settings
Hi All,
When you have a lot of folders defined in the "Folder to apply the settings to" edit box it makes it hard to see what is there.
Could the edit box be changed to allow editing line by line (like one of the list management screens) instead of in a long line?
Cheers
John

Re: Lock tabs sometimes fail
HI All, I just noticed a little problem with tab headers and I thought that it might be related to this. If not I apologise. I set a tab's home and then set "Lock Home Zone" on the same tab. Then I set an icon for the tab (right-click->Rename Tab). After this, if I navigate to a subfolder ...

Re: Recase() function
Hi Don,
I think the change is a good one, but extending the function is a great idea. Thanks

Recase() function
Hi All, I apologise if this has been asked elsewhere. The recase() function doesn't work the way I expect when doing title case. In the below example I expected the result to be: "Bbc The Making Of King Arthur" which would fall in line with the help. See attachment. Am I misinterpreting wh...

Re: Stepping not working?
For me, turning on step mode (via Scripting->Step Mode) is a little hit and miss. It works for one of my scripts (a very simple one which comprises a single switch statement) but not for another (more complex with functions, variables etc). Also, adding the step command (step;) to the more complex s...

Re: Full pathed file names as arguments
Yes you're right. It's ugly and I should have said that it works for now.This would fail at some point as well (if only enough files are selected)

Re: Full pathed file names as arguments
My batch script (which is actually a bash script) at one point calls: mkvmerge --identification-format json --identify <input file> and redirects the json output to a temp file for later analysis by the jq program. It then goes on to call mkvmerge to remux the file with a set of arguments that are b...

Re: Full pathed file names as arguments
I'm not certain I understand what you mean. :eh: Anyhow, I wrote this: "Testit : testit" $file_list = get("SelectedItemsPathNames", "|"); echo "$file_list" Changed the toolbar button to run it which gives this: Long names5.PNG Is that what you meant?

Re: Full pathed file names as arguments
It works fine (I have highlighted the command to make it easier to distinguish the command from the results): CheersWhat happens when you invoke your script with all those paths (with the amount of where it fails from XYplorer) from the Windows run dialog (WIN+R)?
