Re: Branch view sort by type is broken
A assume he did not get the Shift + Left click . But that his screenshot doesn't show any column headers is disturbing. :? What's actually disturbing is your unfamiliarity with your own product. What makes you assume that everyone uses details view, or that everyone wants to have to switch to detai...

Re: Branch view sort by type is broken
That just shows the danger of using simple examples, the attached screenshot should make things clearer.

Re: Branch view sort by type is broken
Well, it was a feature for me, because I have a legitimate use for that functionality. Any chance you could re-introduce it as an option?

Branch view sort by type is broken
If I have this folder/file structure: Folder1 File1.txt File4.txt Folder2 File2.txt File3.txt If I enable Branch View and sort by type, I expect to see: Folder1 Folder2 File1.txt File2.txt File3.txt File4.txt This used to be the behaviour until recently. Now, this is what I see instead: Folder1 Fold...

Re: Disable mini tree history
Yeah, well, the near-infinite combinations of hardware and software can give rise to some obscure bugs. I run a very locked-down security config and that has caused slow launch times for quite a few applications over the years, so that's my first suspect when something like this happens. Anyway, XYp...

Re: Disable mini tree history
Memory usage is fine, I'm fairly sure the problems had to do with filesystem access. The XYplorer freezes (10-20 seconds long) would happen intermittently when copying/moving items, or creating new subfolders, in a folder that already has a lot of items. This makes me think that XYplorer's tree had ...

Re: Re:
Ah, of course. Did you post elsewhere about your performance problems? They seem quite severe and unlike anything I have personally experienced; does network browsing come into it? No, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that today was the first time I searched for something like "xyplorer slow ...

Re: Disable mini tree history
That does more or less exactly what I wanted, thank you very much @highend.

Re: Disable mini tree history
I, too, would like an option to disable the Tree (and mini tree) entirely. For a long while I've been living with very slow startup times for XYplorer (on the order of dozens of seconds). I've also been getting freezes during simple file operations, that bizarrely affect my audio playback with stutt...

Re: Select corrupt/invalid image files
No, that's not what I want, thanks. I'm fully capable of whipping up a script to do that in Python or C or node.js or perhaps even XYscript the next time I need that functionality. Just so we're clear, I didn't suggest this feature solely because I need it, but because I imagine it would be a common...

Re: Select corrupt/invalid image files
I quote: "It could be made to only be available once thumbnail view has already been invoked." Meaning once the user invokes thumbnail view and the thumbnails have been processed, the user then has the option to select all files for which thumbnail generation failed. I'm aware that byte-sn...

Re: Select corrupt/invalid image files
Not at all. It could be made to only be available once thumbnail view has already been invoked. ("View > Thumbnails > Select invalid files"). Since there clearly already is a way to mark a file as having an invalid or no thumbnail, all the program has to do is select those files.

Select corrupt/invalid image files
When browsing folders of images recovered from failing hard drives, many of the images are corrupt and unrecoverable. At present, if I want to delete those images, I have to switch to thumbnail view, then manually select the images for which thumbnails failed to be generated, and delete them. It wou...
