Re: Any benefit for XYplorer devs from simply running Beta version?
Thanks for the heads up about a possible bug. Well its looking like there's not much reason for me to use beta, which is ok. If I did move to 64 bit, it wouldn't install right over the 32 bit, right? So I could still use the 32 bit if there was something with 64 bit that I didn't like? Or would I ha...

Re: Any benefit for XYplorer devs from simply running Beta version?
Also, how stable is the beta version? I run Firefox' beta version and it is incredibly stable. I know different companies will have different understandings of when software is ready for a beta release. I'd rather not install it if it isn't already fairly stable.

Any benefit for XYplorer devs from simply running Beta version?
I am going to convert from 32 to 64 bit, and I noticed the announcement for the latest beta. I'm wondering, would it benefit the devs to have me running beta on my laptop, if I never bothered to fill out bug reports? Or is that the primary purpose of letting us run the beta? Sorry I'm very busy, but...

Can XYplorer be the default program for opening zipped files?
I have XYplorer as the default file manager on my Win 11 laptop. But when I double click on zipped files, Windows explorer pops up. Is there a way to get XYplorer to be the default for zipped files also?

Re: How to get Windows to ALWAYS open up folders in XYPlorer
OK thanks, I'll search through regedit to see if they are already existing. Making a backup of the registry probably wouldn't be a bad idea, either.

How to get Windows to ALWAYS open up folders in XYPlorer
I have already made XYplorer my default, per https://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=dfm . However, when I use Copernic desktop search, and click on a file in the results, it never uses XYplorer. Is there something else I need to be doing? I did a search, and found this page linked to, https://www...

Is it possible to have Xyplorer to open up a new tab when I double click on a folder on my desktop?
Not sure how to put this into words, but when I have an instance of XYplorer open already, and then I move my cursor onto the desktop and double click on a folder there, what happens is that XYplorer makes the current tab, the new folder view. I'd like it to open up into a new tab. See the screensho...

Re: Can I get XYplorer to not skip any letters in file names with icon view?
Thanks. I think its "30" in Base 60, or something like that. EDIT: Just updated the Configuration file. That did it. Thanks again. Configuration | Colors and Styles | Styles | Columns | Truncate filenames in the middle Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Caption lines PS: I se...

Can I get XYplorer to not skip any letters in file names with icon view?
Not sure how to word my question, so I'll include two screenshots below. I like viewing some files (docs & videos) in icon view, and I am used to seeing either the full file name, or at least the first x letters of that name. But with XYplorer, I will occasionally see the middle letters cut off,...

Re: Thoughts about buying the one-year free upgrade license, versus the lifetime free upgrade license.
I agree, it would (if this wouldn't take too long) be interesting to see how many of those who originally bought a year license, bought the lifetime. Thanks! :D  FYI, I checked my stats and about 56% of all users who bought either Lifetime or Standard bought Lifetime. So Lifetime is the most p...

Can individual entries in Links be moved up or down that list?
I have several items in the Links directory in the upper section of the left pane. They are placed automatically according to alphabetical order.
Is there a way to allow users to move them up or down, as they see fit?
