Re: Date format doesn't show slash
Thanks. I can live with it. Just wanted to be sure you knew about it, could reproduce it, and maybe fix sometime down the road.

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
Sorry to offend you. I'm just saying my first post had the exact steps to recreate the problem. You asked that I go farther and modify the ListDateFormats, echo the format date, and reboot. I did the empirical research, reported it, and didn't complain. All information needed to reproduce the proble...

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
It's a little frustrating I need to go to that level of testing, but I did it. Basically, the first delimiter found in the system region short date setting is used for the entire date string in XYplorer. Since I used a space then it became "Sat 4 12 2025". If I used a slash, then it's &quo...

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
I'm also out of ideas. How do I get this on the bug list for a possible fix in the future? Web site and program always points me to this forum.

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
If if set region setting for short date to: ddd M/d/yyyy
When I run: echo formatdate(, "ddd M/d/yyyy");
I get: Fri 4 11 2025
I only need to restart XYplorer, but I've also restarted File Explorer and rebooted. Same results.
Seems like a bug to me.

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
I did as you suggested. As expected, the slashes (/) were missing even though the config file had "ddd M/d/yyyy". If my regional settings are "ddd M/d/yyyy", XYplorer won't display a dash in the date regardless of which date format I set in XYplorer. Definitely a bug in my view. ...

Re: Date format doesn't show slash
Thanks for the reply. I would like to have the instructions for the config file. I see date settings in appdata\roaming\xyplorer\xyplorer.ini, but probably best if you confirm the proper change. By the way, I also noticed if my region settings are "ddd M/d/yyyy" and I pick "mm'dd'yyyy...

Date format doesn't show slash
I have my Windows 11 regional settings set to show the short date as "M/d/yyyy". This shows the modified date as "4/10/2025" correctly in XYplorer. If I change my regional settings to "ddd M/d/yyyy", XYplorer shows "Thu 4 10 2025". The slashes are missing. Win...

Re: Want to buy, repeated crashes related to context menus
I believe this is a problem with Bitdefender and XYplorer. I've tried tweaking Bitdefender settings and made improvements. XYplorer is not quite the same speed of Windows File Explorer, but very close. I also had problem with errors and the context menu never appearing, and that's gone away now. I'v...

Re: Want to buy, repeated crashes related to context menus
Here's a few examples. I've believe all shell extensions are disabled. Problem still exists in XYplorer if 64-bit context menu is enabled in Shell Integration. File explorer shows the menu instantly.

Re: Want to buy, repeated crashes related to context menus
As far as I know, I've disabled my shell extensions. Here's a screen shot of my context menu. It's instantaneous with File Explorer. It's only slow with XYplorer. If Windows File Explorer was slow, I'd agree. I can believe it's an XYplorer setting that I have enabled that others don't, but can't fig...

Re: Want to buy, repeated crashes related to context menus
I've had similar problems with 64-bit context menu (slow, errors, etc.). I reported my issue in https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=25459. Until there's a fix, I've had to disable it. The best options I found were to disable "hide shell extensions from shell context menu" in Gene...

Re: Right click slow/delay
For me, Windows File Explorer is practically instantaneous. I get full context menu with no delay. In XYplorer, the first time the menu takes at least 5 seconds. Sometimes it never opens, more likely after I've used XYplorer for a while with normal use. A few times, I get an XYplorer fatal error mes...

Re: Right click slow/delay
The problem has been around for a long time. I opened this post in Nov. 2022, so it's been around at least 1 1/2 years. I believe I was on version 23.7 at that time. I just recently spent hours narrowing down the problem after dealing with it for so long. There's not yet a promise when it will be fi...
