Re: Compatibility problem when open containing folder in Visual Studio 2015
Heh. That's a blast from the past. Good thing I just happened to be popping by - that was one of the first things I posted about, and I came up with a workaround (add xyplorer to VS as an "external tool", then add that "external tool" to that context menu with the label "Ope...

Re: alt-tab while a file is being renamed
Huh, weird, I totally thought I'd cracked it. Oh well.

Re: alt-tab while a file is being renamed
Ha! I was just looking for my post from this morning, and decided, for fun, to walk through memory lane and read all the stuff I'd gotten fixed or found workarounds for back when I was forced onto Windows 7 all those years ago. I've still noticed this oddity sporadically, and as I was testing it, it...

Re: Paste As SymLink into the right-click drag and drop menu
Drat. I'm home, and tried installing the x86 version - doesn't matter if it would've worked, because the installer won't let you install it on x64 (I can tell it's the installer, not Windows, because the message has a typo in it... but it doesn't matter either way, since I don't have the source.) Wo...

Re: Paste As SymLink into the right-click drag and drop menu
Ah. Well, that is super dumb, then. Sounds like it's totally LSE's fault for botching up its installer? I guess the reason it works in regular Explorer is because it's installing correctly for x64, just botched up for x86? (In which case, I wonder if the native x86 installer would work any better, i...

Re: Paste As SymLink into the right-click drag and drop menu
Oh, oops, I thought I had, sorry. It's just called Link Shell Extension. I did find a thread from around the same time as this one, talking about how it wasn't working, which diverged into less-convenient workarounds which satisfied the OP of that thread. Conveniently, the list of actions I describe...

Re: Paste As SymLink into the right-click drag and drop menu
In that case, could you at least get back to looking into why the tool I was using for that task used to work with xyplorer but doesn't anymore, since it's incredibly useful? >.> (And I agree with LittleBiG, I also really don't understand that response, given you have things in that menu like "...

Re: Paste As SymLink into the right-click drag and drop menu
I'm bumping this thread to show interest in it, as I've just been forced onto Windows 10 with a new computer, and while I'm very happy xyplorer exists, or I'd be stabby...it appears the utility I had previously been using to add this functionality, no longer works with xyplorer, so I'm really missin...

Re: autocomplete files in the address bar
Aha. That makes sense then, no longer works as a tweak cause it got moved elsewhere. Probably should've read the tweak value into the config value when that was added, but anyway, thanks. It's back to the way I like it now.

Re: autocomplete files in the address bar
Huh. I just noticed that somewhere along the way, this tweak seems to have stopped working? Any chance we could get it back? >.>

Re: Position of 64-bit Context Menu
Context menus are supposed to open at the mouse cursor position. Anything else would feel weird IMO. That is untrue. If you click on something, context menus are supposed to open at the mouse cursor position. On the other hand, which I had noticed feeling awkward when I just moved to the latest bet...

Re: Properties button opens context menu
Awesomesauce.
And I guess I just haven't ever opened properties while I had the sound nonmuted; funny. (Then again, I guess I haven't opened too many properties from xyp, since most of the reason I'd be doing that was to get to other 3rd party extensions using that dialog, the ones I mentioned. )

Re: Properties button opens context menu
No idea. FYI, the button calls the same function as menu File | Properties or Alt+Enter . Funny you should mention that, because I finally just updated to the latest beta to try out the x64 context menu, and while I am generally happy with it, I do have a couple complaint, one of which is this - I ...

Re: iPhone in XY
Yeah, I'm sure you could snag a free old phone just posting locally on Craigslist. I actually got my current used phone free posting on the Ting (my favorite cellphone service provider :)) forum that I was looking to buy a particular type of phone (namely, one with a physical flip keyboard), but was...

Re: Right -Click Menu Access
Now what often gets overlooked/forgotten is the context menu key on keyboard (above F9 on my laptop)....that's another way to get to it. If you don't have a dedicated context menu key (most newer keyboards do... most older keyboards don't), shift-F10 also opens the context menu. :) Or if you meant ...
