Re: custom icon with virtual folder

Hold SHIFT while you click the catalog item. This will always open the location in a new tab. Using mouse middle-click is much easier to remember and a catalog item that points to a single folder will open in a new tab using mouse middle-click. However, doing the same with a virtual folder opens it...

Well, it was persistent 4 days then lost access again. Darn it! Windows Explorer and XY say "Disconnected network drive". I shall do some searching online and see if I can find out why.

Re: Access to network shared folders

You do the mapping on the computer you're connecting from. Does not matter whether the shared resource is on internal or external drives, as long as you are able to access it using UNC, then you will be able to map a drive letter for persistence. Thank you so much for your help. I've mapped the dri...

It absolutely would be nice so that's a +1 from me. I've needed that several times :titter:

Re: Access to network shared folders

It's more convenient to map a drive letter to this resource, just choose "Map Network Drive" from either the My Computer context menu orfrom the overflow menu at the top of WE: Untitled.png Thanks for the advice. I apologise if these seems like a dumb questions but do I do that on the com...

Re: Access to network shared folders

I'm assuming you've assigned a drive letter to the network share, e.g. T:\bar, rather than accessing the share each time using the Universal Naming Convention (UNC), that is in the form of \\Server\Share, e.g. \\Rocket\Foo\bar Unfortunately, you assumed wrong. I had no idea I could assign a drive l...

Re: Access to network shared folders

then remap the share. Thanks for the tip, I don't mind giving it a go but I don't know what you mean by remap the share. If I do that, will that be the end of the issue or will it be something I'll need to do every time I lose access to the network shared folders? And, do I delete the credentials o...

Access to network shared folders

Windows 10 Pro 22H2 I know this is a Windows question rather than an XY one but it does affect XY and I've asked on more than one Windows forum and no one has answered. Why does Windows 'lose' access to network shared folders? I notice this usually happens after waking from sleep or hibernation but ...

Fast Intra-Volume Folder Move

I've just updated to the latest version (v25.50.0100) and going through the beta notes, v25.50.0001 says a new tweak has been added - CustomMoveIntraFastFolder - and that it's "enabled by default (even for upgraders)". I've checked my config file and it's not there. I know I can manually a...

Re: Status column empty

Sorry for not providing any further feedback, Don, I wasn't receiving notifications for this thread. I have updated to the latest XY version. Both the Status and Availability columns are still empty. I have to ask again, are there only a select few cloud storage services supported? I use MEGA.nz [ak...

Status column empty

Yet another cool feature that I don't understand 🤦‍♀️ How does the new Status column work? Do we need to configure something to get it to display the status of cloud items? Is it any cloud storage service, or only the most common ones? I have added the column but it's empty. I am using the latest XY...

You're welcome, Don. However, does that mean that what I'm seeing is expected behaviour?
