How does one accomplish auto expanding all subfolders of a main folder?
Right mouse click on main folder > expand > select expansion action.

Prerequisite: Expansions are assigned under Configuration > General > Menus, Mouse, Usability > Context Menus

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XY Switches Programming Language +++

I'm sorry Don, but I am reeeeeaaaally curious about the migration process. :ninja:

Are you still at the stage of exploring the "new" possibilities?
Have you already got running the "core" XYplorer gui?
Any real wtf moments so far?

Another query, does removing metadata reduce file size?
depends on the size of the meta data, of course.

For (camera) images it's not worth the effort, imho. I use exiftool for metadata cleanup of images. It IS mighty. However, its command line only.

Re: Zoom Ratio of Toolbar

Use a tweak (it's in the help file, look for "Tweaks").

Example:

Code: Select all

; Tweak: zoom factor for main toolbar (0.5 - 8)
ToolbarZoom=1,2

This sounds great. Yes, it does. :) You know every single corner of this glorious fortress - be it bright or be it dark. So nothing should put you on the wrong walk (@all: sorry for this pathetic "Fawlty Towers - The Germans" experience ). This sounds great. Yes, it does. :) Again: when you...

Alright, it begins! Installed the IDE, loaded the code, and now I'm drowning in errors, warnings, and messages. Yeah, that's the life I've chosen. I'm in my element, in the groove, in the zone. :cup:

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XY Switches Programming Language +++

I'm sorry, but I am still curious about the migration approach. Is the outsourced (automated) conversion an iterative process where you receive one "compileable" chunk after another, or is it a sort of "big bang" where you start off spending days (weeks?) in order to get the first code ver...

Re: paste as symbolic link not work

As an alternative, you can permanently assign the right to create symbolic links to a non-admin user by group policies. Run group policy editor as admin and add the local user of choice to the following local user rights policy: GPO_name\Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Loca...
