Re: Slow network folder access times

Thanks for testing. "Fast Network Enumeration" was fast in Win8 but is not anymore in Win10. Might be an idea to rename that option...

BTW, did you find an explanation for the missing context menu item?

Re: Middle truncation toggle?

Thanks for the script!

When the 64-bit version is finished, remind me to add this feature. I like it.

Re: Slow network folder access times

Interesting! I had checked the source code before I wrote that and I did not see any way how it could fail. Let me know if you find the difference in config.

Re: Slow network folder access times

Cannot explain. It points to the fact that something fundamentally deep with your network does not work with XYplorer.

It's still there. Do you get any context menu?

Re: Slow network folder access times

Why don't you use "Cache Servers" (Configuration | General | Safety Belts, Network | Network | Cache network servers)?

Anyway, the new 64-bit version will rewrite all this from scratch. We'll see....

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XY Switches Programming Language +++

I had thought about it, of course, but went for VB.Net now. There is a LOT of stuff in this code that just extends the limits of VB6. It will be easier for me to take care of that in a syntax I know by heart. The option to switch to C# is always there (even if some extra work is involved) and I have...

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XY Switches Programming Language +++

Yes.

BTW, I'm not coding for months, I've just been waiting for the code. I got it yesterday and I started coding today.

Now I'm trying to get the GUI started. Nobody knows how long this will take. I keep you posted... :cup:

Re: British English -- should I?

Sure, love the idea! :cup: (<- cup of tea!)

The double semicolon is correct. It provides a menu separator. (I had to check myself)

Gray/Grey: oh yes, will fix that in the 64-bit edition.
