Re: always asks to select app to open a png image

@RalphM,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been trying to figure out a solution ever since I reset Windows a couple of days ago. I, too, never investigated CFAs and now I'm all over them.

Again, thank you for saving what is left of my hair!

Re: XYCopy next background job window always focused

I am having the same thought. Copying from my phone, even with say just 50-60 files (roughly 155 MB) just took 3 minutes. It looked as if XY was unresponsive for about 2.5 minutes then up popped the copy notification and the copy itself took less than 10 seconds.
It must be the phone + USB.

Re: XYCopy next background job window always focused

I'm experiencing a similar issue where delete/copy notifications go "behind" XYplorer rather than in front. This happens regularly. For example, I was copying about 65 .JPGs from my phone (connected via USB) to PC and it appeared the job had stalled. I was able to close XYplorer and saw th...

Re: XY doesn't save image file type association and always ask how to open

This is happening in ver. 19.50.0200. 1. Double-click sample.jpg from within XYplorer and it asks which file to use to open. 2. Do the same but from within File Explorer and IrfanView immediately loads and displays the .jpg. (I have IrfanView set as the default app in Windows 10 Pro 1803 for .gif, ....

Re: White Box in Tree after Right-Click

Win 10 Pro x64 on an HP Spectre x360 with a 4K monitor. I upgraded to XYplorer ver 19.50.0100 two days ago and I've experienced a similar "White Box" issue four times. However, my white box covers the menu bar, toolbar and file location line. XYplorer 1950 Trouble 2019-01-11 (600 x 323).pn...

It's even better:
The Layout Catalog went from 2,665 ms to 3 ms! Yowza!

Re: Loading Layout Catalog Taking 2,665 ms

The fix was to use scripts to jump to the network drives. Now the Catalog loads in 1 ms! Not only did this fix my XY load issue but it also got me digging into the scripting language so I'm making a number of other tweaks to improve my efficiency. I've already sent some beer money for you through Pa...

Loading Layout Catalog Taking 2,665 ms

I'm crazy about XYplorer - this is one of the finest pieces of software (and support) I've ever purchased. My initial load seemed a bit pokey and the culprit appears to be the Layout Catalog. Of the 3,025 ms it takes for XY to startup the Catalog is responsible for 2,665 of them or 88%. Obviously, I...

Re: 14.10.0100 No Delete Confirmation Dialog

grindax, You were correct: it was Win 8.1 suppressing the dialog. I just received this new laptop 3 days ago and it's my first run at Win 8. It's odd they would default to not confirming a delete action. Anyway, thank you for the direction. It worked perfectly and now I'm once again practicing "...

[SOLVED] 14.10.0100 No Delete Confirmation Dialog

Win 8.1 Pro x64
XYplorer 14.10.0100

Clicking on the Red X in the toolbar immediately deletes the selected item even though "Suppress Delete Confirmation Dialog" is unchecked. The Delete Undo works correctly but I cannot get the confirmation dialog to come up before deleting.

Can't log to \\live.sysinternals.com\

I'm following along with How-to-Geek's series on using Sysinternals and they mentioned jumping out to the server share at \\live.sysinternals.com\. I already have most of the tools I use loaded but for fun I tried to log to the share. From within XYplorer 13.80.0100 I receive a notice that "Loc...

I was thinking of this same functionality but couldn't come up with a good way to describe it. Your thread title is perfect and I would like the option, too.

Re: Screenshots

I've been using SnagIt and Camtasia for years, as well. Thumbs up for both.
SnagIt has a great feature to capture the full screen even if it has partially scrolled below your monitor view.
