Found it! My other pane had a stale network folder open.

Re: Very long launch times on Windows 10

Very long launch times on Windows 10

I've been experiencing very long launch times of Xyplorer 15.70 and 15.90 on my Windows 10 install. It's so bad that I can launch Windows File Explorer and navigate to my intended folder before XY appears on the screen. On average the launch time is 10 seconds... I've already tried a fresh install (...

Re: YAUM - Yet Another Update Manager

Did you press it's hotkey (by default ctrl+shift+alt+y) to let the gui come up? Post a screenshot of it... Okey using that shortcut makes the GUI popup! But I imagine it might be more desirable to have it pop up immediately when starting the program. Also a maybe it would be useful to display a mes...

Re: YAUM - Yet Another Update Manager

Next beta will work (even) better :) And it won't be long 'til a final release from then... Odd situation here. I tried running YUAM today and the GUI won't pop up. Task manager does show Yuam.exe with a process ID but that's it. I'm on windows 8.1 It worked previously so now I'm wondering if somet...

Re: Unicode, UTF-8, ASCII, and ReadFile SC

I haven't reviewed the relevant code, bearing that in mind: I'm a bit confused because you are using the terms "unicode" and 'UTF-8" interchangeably. My observations about this scenario: 1. There should be no scenario where reverting to ANSI ASCI encoding is required. Provided there i...

Re: YouTube.com 0.7 - GUI for youtube-dl

Definitely interested! I had downloaded youtube-dl a while back but never got around to setting it up. Oops sorry, I now see you already posted it on the first post. Thanks. Seems like there's a bit of an issue with Youtube videos in a playlist. youtube-dl wants to download all meta data for all vi...

Should anyone still be interested I've written a small script that acts as a tiny GUI to youtube-dl.

Re: Youtube.com 0.6.5 - Update to VLC 2.1.2

I've had a look at what changed with Youtube. The long and short of it is that there's way too many different scenarios for the script to deal with. I would recommend moving to a program like youtube-dl. If you peek at their source you'll notice that their YT date extraction module alone is 2000 lin...

Re: Youtube.com 0.6.5 - Update to VLC 2.1.2

Thanks highend, your change worked for me as well. It also worked using VLC (single) though for some reason VLC crashes at the end and requires a restart. Even though VLC crashes, the downloads have been fine and play using either VLC or my associated program MPC-HC. Thanks highend for taking the t...

Re: Custom Columns

Hmmm, yes, agreed :) Regarding the name "Custom Columns": Calibre has been using the same name for a feature they have. http://blog.calibre-ebook.com/2011/11/calibre-custom-columns.html Just wanted to make sure you know. I'm not a legal expert by any stretch, but it may be worth keeping t...
