Re: File Properties date time stamp modify pm not working
To test, I created a new test file just now: New Textfile.txt and it has all three elements as 2/10/19 01:02 pm. I go into Created, and edit the 2 to be a 3, hoping for 1:03 pm, but instead get 01:03 am. If I want to achieve 01:03 pm I have to edit the 01 to be 13, then it works. I recall that editi...

File Properties date time stamp modify pm not working
I was using a verion 19.50 something then noticed this apparent bug, and then swa a 19.60 was out to updated to it,as it said many bug fixes, but the problem remains. With a file selected, going into the Info Panel Properties screen to change the date time stamps, I can't enter a pm time, and have t...

Re: How to save Power Filters?
What I wasn't doing was having Configuration, Startup & Exit, Include MRUs on Save, [5] Visual Filters checked.
Then File, Settings Special, * Save Configuration, works like expected.
(Saving on Exit is not needed.)

How to save Power Filters?
From the Help, it seemed I could go into Tools -> List Management -> Power Filters and enter some of my own.
Then, saving the settings would make them available. But upon exiting XYPlorer 16.20.03, they aren't there the next time I start.
What is the proper way to save them?

Re: Visual filter cleared by Open with Command Prompt?
I even have the little-known "Persist Visual Filters Across Folders" option set, based on some advice here quite a while ago.

Re: Visual filter cleared by Open with Command Prompt?
Even with the new v15.80.00, if I have a visual filter set, the act of left clicking on a folder in the tree pane clears the visual filter. Since this is not considered a bug, is there a setting that can be set to have only turning off of a visual filter only by asking for it, not some un-related cl...

Re: Visual filter cleared by Open with Command Prompt?
Let's say I have a visual filter of *.cmd so I can work on batch files, and not see all the other files in a directory. After editing one, I want to run it by right-clicking on the directory, choosing "Open with command prompt" then running that .cmd file at the command prompt. It seems wi...

Zip Extract Here - date-time stamp depends on method?
Edit: This may be a fluke for just one file only, on a zip archive of just text files I downloaded this morning: In XYplorer's zip handing, if a zip file is right-clicked on and "Extract Here" is used, the files are extracted with their own date-time stamps. This is the expected behavior. ...

Re: Compare content of 2 folders
Comprehensive folder and file comparison is a serious operation and a breed of software unto itself, and there are a variety of choices out there. Expecting that much power in XYplorer would be an unrealistic demand on the developer. I use Beyond Compare with XYplorer, and there are other commercial...

The attached file 'XYplorer v15.02 problem on XP.zip' has screen shots of two dirs, with v14.80, then v15.10, along with the "Various Information" for both.

v15.02 last to do icons OK in XP
This is too minor for me to try to test out the options settings to see if the problem can be remedied, so am posting it here in case other XP users have found a way to fix it. On Windows XP, the last XYplorer version to display the file icons correctly was v15.02. After that version, many file icon...

Re: XYplorer slow to open
I've posted about this a few times, that the first run after booting is a bit slow, but after that is fast the rest of the time. In my case, it may be due to having my networked XP computer off most of the time, so when XYplorer starts on my Win 7 system it takes a whlie to figure out what is going ...
