Hi - I have one instance of XYplorer that doesn't show the Windows 10 default icon for videos and shows the generic file icon for all video types. Details: - Windows explorer video icons are normal and all other icons in XYplorer appear normal - XYplorer v22.60.0200 - Seemed to start spontaneously, ...

Tag button pulldowns - more than 20?
Hi -
I use tags extensively and would like to extend the number of tags shown when pressing a tag button from the default 20 to 25-30. I didn't see anything obvious in the INI file or the configuration menus. Is this hard-coded?
Thanks!

Re: How to Set Ratings
@highend -
I've searched in the past by using the "Find By Tags" toolbar button. I read the section of the help file that you directed me to and it finally clarified to the extent that I can use this. Thanks for your help.

Re: How to Set Ratings
Following up on this, I'm pasting line from my TAG.DAT file with the results of using this script. It seems to create a tag but it isn't searchable. XYplorer File Tags v4 Labels: Red||FC7268;Orange||F6AB46;Yellow||EFDC4A;Green||B5D74A;Blue||5DA4FE;Purple||E29CDC;Grey||B5B5B5 Extra Tags: |0|0|0||||| ...

Re: How to Set Ratings
What I mean is that I'm clicking the disk icon ("Save Settings"), which saves all settings, correct?
I looked in the tag.dat file and the ratings (1-5) are making it into the file, but they're not being returned as result when I search by tag. Ideas?

Re: How to Set Ratings
I understand, but I usually just "save settings" to commit them and not the option that you used.highend wrote:Tags aren't saved immediately. Either you do it manually, have a necessary setting (still doesn't do it instantly) or exit the current instance (with saving settings)...

Correct, it did not save to tag.dat and I didn't use the tag saving methodology you mentioned, but I have never had to with other tags.

Re: How to Set Ratings
Hi highend, hi jupe - I tried to implement this with the expectation that it would tag items with numbers 1-5. It does add a number to the extra column that I named Rating, but it doesn't seem to create the tag entry that I expected it to. Should it create the same kind of tag entry that I would oth...

Re: Odd network behavior
Thanks for the report and the analysis. It would, if confirmed by the developer, explain a lot.

Re: Odd network behavior
I tried several versions from leftover installers on my systems, including 18.8 and 18.9 - no change. I suspect that this has something to do with the 1803 update, but I have run out of ideas to get it to work and don't know how to diagnose it.
Has there been any other reports of similar behavior?

Re: Odd network behavior
Hi Jupe -
No apologies needed; I appreciate the effort.
I had found the "Assume that servers are available" setting and had enabled it but, out of respect, I cycled that setting and restarted - no change.
Again - thanks for the suggestions

Re: Odd network behavior
I received a PM with a couple of settings to check but these didn't help. I ultimately ended up mapping the drives and folders of interest and this restored normal operation, but it would be great if the developer(s) could share any thoughts on this issue.
