Re: Clean Recent Menu

Somehow, I've spent years being entirely unaware of this amazingly useful gadget. Thanks to everyone with involvement in creating, maintaining and modifying it -- it's wonderful!

Re: Something nasty has happened...

I shut my eyes tight and upgraded to 23.90.0427 direct from .0412 and can confirm that the session list has reappeared. Also, whatever happened to lose the icons associated with the session list has also been fixed -- the lost ones haven't reappeared (assume lost for good) but the ones I'd replaced ...

Re: Something nasty has happened...

Will do - but as it's an issue that's appeared somewhere between beta 412 and 419 I thought you might want to be aware, in case it's an xy issue rather than anything that's specifically down to the script

Re: Something nasty has happened...

Yes, 0412 is still OK with SessionManager's session list. I've lost the carefully assigned icons but the basic functionality is back.

Something nasty has happened...

SessionManager has suddenly stopped working as expected -- since updating to the current beta this morning. My workflow is lying in a corner, panting... basically, the list of defined sessions is no longer displayed. I think the last beta I was using was 0412 -- I'm going back to that one and will r...

Re: File Managers

Apparently XYplorer freezes up too. Looks like it's time to search for a decent File Explorer Again Under what circumstances? I won't say it's never locked up on me but I don't actually remember it ever having done so - suggesting to me that it's rare enough to be a non-issue. Which also suggests t...

Focus on dialogs

I'm posting this as a wish rather than a bug as I'm not entirely sure if it's a feature of the integration between XY and Windows... If I delete files, I usually use "delete without recycle" even though I've been known to regret it... Anyway, occasionally I'll delete a bunch of files in an...

Re: Do you like the new application icon?

I didn't, to begin with. But I figured that I'd just got used to the old icon and the new one didn't feel right just because it was different. The new icon is more noticeable in my relatively busy notification area than the old one was. It's perhaps not quite as aesthetically pleasing as the old one...

Messing with data? Try this...

My very favourite, relatively obscure, software package right now is EasyDataTransform . It's commercial, and enough money that a normal user might think twice about it (but not so much that it's clearly a commercial-only program.) However, if you have data that you want to chop up, tidy up, transfo...

Re: Session Manager [v7.00]  —  Bookmark your environments: locations and/or display (tabsets and layout)

I've said it before, I think... this is the one script that has made my life soooooo easy. I can flip between different workflows, information sets, even styles of working so easily with this and it just goes on getting better! Thank you for all your amazing work on this :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: ...

Re: Crash when hovering over image in Box Drive folder

Ah. :) I think the problem was kind of network related -- I was using the laptop with a hotspot provided by my phone and I discovered a bit later that the automatic mirroring of files between the folder on the laptop I was actually looking at and the Box-hosted files themselves weren't fully in sync...

Crash when hovering over image in Box Drive folder

Couple of crashes this morning -- XYplorer just goes away with no apparent errors when I hover over a jpg in a cloud folder, using Box Drive. And it could just as easily be a problem with the Box Drive application, I grant :) Error log shows: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 07/...
