Fix for PDF preview when using PDF-Xchange Editor

I will start out with this worked for me. Hopefully it will for others. I was able to see PDF previews fine with XYp and WE until a recent PDF-Xchange Editor update. Or it could have have been after a Win 7 update. I did both around the same time. +/- a day or so. Anyway, I was not able to get previ...

Re: Like a new feature? Say thanks here

Thank you for adding the change on how files/links are saved using drag & drop from a browser address bar. https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20092&sid=a431e0239c513cb760a045b0aa445276#p167397 For me at least, this lets me know I have already saved the link and saves time not having t...

Re: Drag & Drop from Browser

Thank you confirming Sammay.
Now I know it wasn't a setting I overlooked. I will watch to see if the wish is implemented.
Until then I'll keep using WE for this particular kind of drag and drop.

Re: Drag & Drop from Browser

A gentle bump... Could someone check to see if the above is normal for drag and drop from the browser address bar with Xyp? ie. you get a 2nd (or even 3rd or more) copy of the same address with the (copy of -xx) suffix added to each filename. Instead of being notified via a pop-up that it already ex...

Drag & Drop from Browser

I have a folder set up to save browser bookmarks. If I find something I want to reference later I select and drag the link from the address bar. Works fine, Except when I drag a link that is already in the folder. Instead of getting a pop-up that alerts me the "file" already exists like in WE, it ju...

Re: Uninstalling when XYplorer is set as the default file manager renders all folders un-openable

Post by highend » 05 Dec 2017 15:03 Then went back in admin mode and turned them back on and exited with save. Still the same results. You didn't. Or you did and turned them off afterwards but did not mention that I slowly and confirming each step made sure I was in admin mode, un-checked the boxes...

Re: Uninstalling when XYplorer is set as the default file manager renders all folders un-openable

My install path on my dedicated version I have used from the start is: C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\XYplorer.exe I checked the registry and of the four you ask about there are only two I could locate. Key Name: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Directory\Shell\XYplorer\Command Class Name: <NO CL...

Re: Uninstalling when XYplorer is set as the default file manager renders all folders un-openable

I just started having somewhat of a similar problem. Except it was NOT after un-installing XYp. After reading, if this need to be it's own separate post let me know and I'll change it. I was running 18.50.0300 and updated to 18.50.0305 after reading the above but it didn't help. I have a few shortcu...

Re: How Can I Open a URL With a Different Web Browser?

Thank You highend! Yes you were correct. I did not have Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Context Menus | File List... [x] Open With... ticked. Apparently at some time in the past I read about or saw a post regarding it and had ticked it in my installed version. And didn't recall. Tho...

How Can I Open a URL With a Different Web Browser?

I mentioned in a different thread somewhere that I use a no-install version on a thumb drive to keep track of web bookmarks. I also keep the bookmark links on the same drive. I double-click on a link, it opens my default browser and goes to the web page... no problem. Here's my question. What if I w...

Re: Tags are not being auto-saved

Unless you make a mistake. Which is the reason why I don't offer full autosave. If you by a slip of the finger destroy anything and it's saved right away to disk, it's gone, bye-bye. Makes sense. I was only considering adding items. Not the possibility of an "OOPS I didn't want to delete those." I'...

Re: Tags are not being auto-saved

This thread has helped me determine why at times my tags/comments haven't been saved. I don't use auto-save every X minutes. Different reasons why. But at times I do exit without saving. There's why they haven't been saved. I assumed whenever I added a tag/comment it auto-saved whenever I clic...

Re: Audio "Mouse Down Blowup"

I agree with with klownboy you should consider having and naming each as a separate feature.
I feel it would be easier for new users or those of us less savvy with all of the nuances of XY. Knowing that MDBU is graphics/image related and MDPI for instance is audio.

Re: How can I use different tag lists (tag clouds)?

Thanks highend for the time you took to explain and provide script examples. I'll find some time to work with it and see what I can do. You are correct it is a matter of perspective on how the tag cloud is changed from one set to another. Whether it is by an already included set of commands (script?...
