Re: Drag/drop out of xy to skype file transfer doesn't work
Having the same problem - D&D to Skype (latest version of XY and Skype) silently does nothing. In the past, I've had a couple other programs that did not like to drag&drop/copy-paste to/from XYplorer (can't remember which - 7zip maybe?) and couldn't shake off the feeling it was somehow due t...

Multi click-n-search rules OR filter doesn't work properly
When I check more than one click-n-search option (OR mode), for which - individually - there are results the combined options return no results. Check the screenshot in attach for clarification I believe this is due to the built "URI" having spaces around the "|" operator - if I ...

Re: D'n'd problem
I too have noticed DnD problems in the last couple of months when using XY, but I'll need to keep an eye out for which specific scenarios/programs are causing them before reporting. What I do remember is that when they happened, doing the same operation to/from Windows explorer worked like a charm. ...

Re: Explorer context menu in list canvas?
Glad to hear it's working, but I'm confused by your Windows Explorer observation: on Windows 7, I don't get the context menu with the shell extensions when clicking on empty space. What view settings do you use? I tried it on both Large Icons and Details modes on two different W7 machines, and I ge...

Re: Explorer context menu in list canvas?
Yeah... for me it would be ok to lie and show the context for the folder (as if you had clicked on the tree). In my Windows 7 that's what Explorer does anyway.
That worked perfectly - Thanks!admin wrote:Here's a tweak to Popup the Shell menu for the current folder:Code: Select all

Explorer context menu in list canvas?
Is it possible to get the Explorer context menu when clicking in the "canvas" (i.e. not on a file or folder) of the file list window? Having the XY options like View and Sort is cool, but I would like to be able to reach other commands such as SVN checkout etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Multi location search to ignore unavailable paths.
I have predefined search patterns that for instance looks on "C:\Arquivos de programas\tools\;D:\revisar\;E:\revisar\;H:\revisar\" Offtopic: see, this is exactly the reason why the modern "Portuguese Orthography accord" is of limited use... some things are just different in Braz...

Re: File Comments do not appear in column
But you use XYplorer anyway, do you? ;-) lol... yes I do. But I didn't always use it and, for consistency's sake with my older bazillion photos, I'd rather keep doing the other way (even if Xy doesn't support it fully). Also some of this "photo housekeeping" is occasionally done by my wif...

Re: File Comments do not appear in column
Why not append a "_p" or so to the filename? Because it's something that you cannot do from windows explorer vanilla by selecting all files and changing one setting. I would have to do a bulk rename (which is not available and/or easy on most explorer replacements). Having it on a tag als...

Re: File Comments do not appear in column
The "Comment" is from XY's native file tagging. The shell's "Comments" column is currently not supported (but planned). I see - thanks for the info, Don. :) Support for comments will be welcome when it does come. To give you my real life scenario for it: I tend to back up virtua...

File Comments do not appear in column
Steps to replicate: 1) Select a couple of JPG files in a folder, r-click, select Properties; 2) In the "Details" Tab, enter something on Comments and Apply; 3) Add "Comment" column to list view; You will not be able to see the file comments. I believe this may be because the colu...
