Re: 21.30.0028 - resizing the xyplorer window
Thank you for your reply. My first issue went away by itself with 21.30.0031 (but I had indeed enabled those settings!). My second issue is still there. I did "move" to re-enable it under CEA. But reading your response made me aware of an issue: Mi muscle memory makes me click on any blank part of t...

21.30.0028 - resizing the xyplorer window
There is a lot of space on the right of the list, with no title.
When I try to resize the whole XY window, it shrinks the name column instead of the whole thing...
Also, double-click on tab to open a new tab (previous default hardcoded behavior) does not seem to work (for me) anymore...

Re: start in Admin or User mode
No, my issue was that --without understanding how-- Xyplorer would be open on my desktop in admin mode, but when I open more instances, they would be in user mode, while all the while I expected user mode every time unless I did something specific to open it in admin mode. Now I think I figured it o...

Re: start in Admin or User mode
Thank you for replying. Maybe I did not express myself correctly. I am thinking about what is revealed through <get userrole>, that i use on my titlebar. And as I (try to) explained on my message, if I middle-click on the windows taskbar, i get the user version... Sorry if I create confusion. But my...

start in Admin or User mode
Can I decide to start xyplorer in user or admin mode (by a switch I presume)? I can't find it on my own, and if I search for Admin and User, I find Admin or users (which makes sense!). It feels like it starts on one mode or the other at random (although I presume is the mode at which I've shut-down ...

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
I am guessing no... I admit to not much clarity on the difference (not between 32 & 64, but on when & why to use each).
But that is the subject of a different thread. Thanks a million for the immediate help; and the WONDERFUL product.
Can't live without it.

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
Ha!
It did totally solve the problem on renaming.
I still get a partial page when I open the floating preview (F11) until I resize that window.

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
That is the complete xyplorer window. And the floating preview is a pdf.
What should I do differently?

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
I uninstalled pdf-xchange editor and re-installed it (no reboot in between).
I also removed adobe pdf reader (that was installed).
Made no difference.

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
So I should try re-installing pdf-xchange editor? remove it first?
I noticed that it "forgets" and uses a (way) smaller image of pdfs on occasion, and the fix is to run the install again and allow it to repair...
but i can do a total uninstall and install if you think that is going to help.

Re: 64-bit preview handlers for preview
I am not sure I am competent enough to answer that.
Following recommendations here, I installed PDF-XChange Editor (version 8. from April 22, 2019) on my machine sometime back.
It always worked flawlessly till I enable the 64-bit preview. Today I disable it again, and everything works...
