Re: Different mousewheel scroll lines delta for each View (Details, List, Thumbs)

At least I'd think it's relative easy to scroll a page (or more) if a notch is one line, but try to scroll 1 line (or a few) if a notch is one page.

So both have it's usage, but one is more universal, I think.

So, can't we just do it the hard way? So, from now on the wheel does 1 line per notch in thumbnails and tiles views? Trust me, it feels totally natural right away.
From my point of view this is the best solution. :appl:

Re: Why I didn't bought XYP

Sorry, but Ashkelon had an exact criteria he needs (or is used to), so he decided out of what he thinks is neccessary. And he describes just this - doesn't bring XY down to the ground, as many others would. So I think his post is really ok. I remember the discussion at that time, about dual tree. An...

Re: self()

Just a hint: <xxx> are variables, so even <br> is a (constant :-) ) variable.
Variables usually aren't quoted, so you can omit the quotes around it.

Vars in quotes are just *allowed* to combine them with other text inside (double!) quotes like "line1<br>line2"

So you can save some keys to enter...

Re: Portable Device: Not recognize Ext [Solved]

As this result is not expected: maybe you should, be it on XY start, or on first access of a portable device, check this setting, and if neccessary warn the user?

Re: SetLayout() giving static values

Oh: missed Don's last post! So very first: The script "swaps" pane 1 and 2, i.e. - activates the currently non-active pane - exchanges the sizes of the panes I'm used to this for almost 40 years :maf: (This was the smily for grandpa :lol: ) To say: I'm a bit puzzled that pane-sizes shouldn't be part...

Re: SetLayout() giving static values

Will that mean there will be no way to get (and maybe also to set) these values? :( While it wouldn't help much to set them, if I can't get them. It would affect scripts! At least mine... (I've used the partly wrong values for several years now...) OK: if there would be any other solution to get and...

Re: Select All In Path?

Why do you want to select all of an Album? To copy/move it?

If yes: try to move/copy "just" the folder of that album - it should include all it's content, I think.

Re: exists(), the return value is incorrect.

If I see it right, this defaults to the current path, and that is a folder.
(See example "XYplorer.exe"!)

Though I think this default isn't documented very good :ninja:

OK: that would be "manual automation" :lol:

Something like Chaplin's "modern times". (I think that was the name, wasn't it?)

Re: SetLayout() giving static values

Hm - I had expected that this command serves to expose the values it returns. But OK: I need these values to "swap" (i.e.exchange) the sizes - be it horizontal or vertical - between pane1 and pane2. (So in the moment I read and then set them by SetLayout() ). Is there any other chance to do so? (Wit...
