copy/move file with same name plus suffix as a folder fails
22/60/0200, Win 10. Lately, I've noticed that when I copy/paste or delete/paste a file from folder that has the same name as the file, except that the file has a suffix, e.g., .srt, the paste fails. Example: folder = Now; file in folder = Now.srt; goal is to move file to top level, but get failure m...

Re: 21.60 won't install
Error happens if XYplorer closed -- not started or showing in Task Mgr -- although the in-program update didn't warn. But with XYplorer closed, I tried twice with full program update downloaded from website, closed the running program in Task Mgr upon message, but still got the same error. Just trie...

21.60 won't install
Win 10. Using 21.50.01. See attached screenshot for 21.60 keeps returning error message whether updating from within program or download from site with program closed.

Re: XYplorer got tagged as malware by Malwarebytes
Hmm...This is the first time for me with XYplorer and MBAM (or any anti-malware program that I recall). I've been using XYplorer since 2010 and MBAM paid since 2014 - Comodo paid and AVG before that - plus Windows Defender and occasional ESET online scans. So this one completely caught me by surpris...

Re: XYplorer got tagged as malware by Malwarebytes
Yesterday, I got the tools reply within minutes and a reply from a user sending me to the thread I posted a little while later. I’ve found false positives of this kind to be very occasional with MBAM. Update: I just downloaded the latest MBAM update, removed the exclusion and XYplorer ran w/o proble...

Re: XYplorer got tagged as malware by Malwarebytes
I am using another AV. If my AV reported false positive for XY, and if they needed more than one hour to respond to my false positive report, I would switch to another AV and never look back. Which AV programs typically offer an update within an hour on a matter of this kind? Since MBAM users can e...

Re: XYplorer got tagged as malware by Malwarebytes
I've posted on the MBAM forum and provided the logs they wanted. Didn't see any other posts on this. In the meantime, I excluded it. What a PITA. Hope it's a false positive. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/248424-mbam-claiming-xyplorer-has-trojanmalpackvbgeneric-real-or-false/ Follow up: I got...

Re: Some executables not in desktop folder with XYplorer
Thanks. Hadn't explored that one. I suppose that's the split between all users and just me during program install.

Some executables not in desktop folder with XYplorer
Current version & Win 10x64 1803. I've got at least two executables that are on my desktop but aren't showing in my desktop folder with XYplorer, but are in Win Explorer. Is there a setting or something special about those? The two I'm sure of are, or should be, PDF Viewer.lnk and PDF Editor.lnk...

Re: Getting USB flash drive recognized
No. So it is a matter of figuring out if it's Windows or hardware. Sounds like something to post on Windows 10 forum.

Getting USB flash drive recognized
A question. When I start my desktop computer with a USB flash drive inserted in either of the case's top front two USB 3.0 slots, XYplorer doesn't recognize it, even after refreshing that pane. But after pulling it out and reinserting, it does. Is this a software or hardware issue? Win 10 Pro x64 17...

Re: Right pane columns aren't saving
It looks like I found a solution and maybe the cause of this. I swapped in an 8TB HDD last week and moved what's on some of the other three non-system HDD's around, and pulled out a 1TB drive. The new drive now has all of my video and books. Since then, the columns I wanted are now there in the righ...

Re: Previous tabs staying open - how to change
Thanks. Was this a default that was changed, or something in my copy that readjusted itself?
