Re: Uninstalling 32-bit, while keeping 64-bit w/o losing config file
Thanks. They were in separate folders. I used Programs & Features (CP) instead of Revo Pro, to avoid any problems from the latter's more thorough uninstall.

Uninstalling 32-bit, while keeping 64-bit w/o losing config file
I'm not sure how I ended up with the 32-bit version of XYplorer after clean installing Win 11 last month, but I just installed the 64-bit. I'd like to uninstall the 32-bit, but will I lose the 64-bit version's config file or is there anything in the registry that would be messed up with the 32-bit u...

Re: Closing the last opened tab when closing the program.
Phrasing should make sense on the face of it, telling what the user is choosing. This text doesn't directly do so, or this thread wouldn't exist. My alternative, or something similar, does.

Re: Closing the last opened tab when closing the program.
What Save settings on exit seems to mean here is *don’t save* the last *condition* on exiting the program. I found the phrase confusing because I don’t recall any program that doesn’t save its existing settings on exit, unless the user clicks on a “Save as default” button to keep the temporary chang...

Not sure I get the logic of the text, but it worked. Thanks!

Re: Closing the last opened tab when closing the program.
Thanks, but I must not be getting the settings right. In the screenshot below, both of the top two Save Settings items are unchecked, as is tabs. But when I reopen to another folder, the previous two tabs are up there too, and the "Include most-recently..." is rechecked, as is the Tabs box...

Closing the last opened tab when closing the program.
Just went from Win 10 to 11 via a clean install, and so a new reinstall of XYPlorer and trying to remember all my old settings. To save time and shoulder wear and tear, I typically open the program from an icon for a specific folder, e.g., Documents. What I'm finding now is that the tab from the las...

Re: Sorting wish
Maybe it's complicated because with my main drive open, when I go to Folder View Settings and, of course first Enable Folder View Settings, I find Automatically Apply Default Folder View checked, and that check won't budge. The other thing about it, and what led to my OP wish (or request for guidanc...

Re: Sorting wish
The point of my post was a wish that a re-sort, such as on modified date, was specific to the folder and not the drive, within a session or between sessions. That wish still stands. No, closing and opening the program to access more frequently used ("favorite") folders from desktop links i...

Re: Sorting wish
Thanks, but I'm not fully understanding your point. I use dual pane and have had "Enable Folder View Settings" and "Automatically apply default folder view" checked. I don't usually work by opening a new tab, since it will show the same folder. Rather, I might close the XYPlorer ...

Sorting wish
Very glad for XYplorer. Sometimes I sort (click) on Modified Date to more quickly find my most recent files or folders. Doing so affects all files/folders on that drive, not just the one I'm in. I don't know if it's possible in Windows, but it would be nice if sorting only affected the current windo...

copy/move file with same name plus suffix as a folder fails
22/60/0200, Win 10. Lately, I've noticed that when I copy/paste or delete/paste a file from folder that has the same name as the file, except that the file has a suffix, e.g., .srt, the paste fails. Example: folder = Now; file in folder = Now.srt; goal is to move file to top level, but get failure m...

Re: 21.60 won't install
Error happens if XYplorer closed -- not started or showing in Task Mgr -- although the in-program update didn't warn. But with XYplorer closed, I tried twice with full program update downloaded from website, closed the running program in Task Mgr upon message, but still got the same error. Just trie...
