Re: Extremely Slow Right-Click or Properties
That eliminates it. But it also eliminates all the 'good' shell extensions I want. I know the shell extension that causes the slowdown. I've disabled it in shexview. And now Windows File Explore respecst the disabling and right click works fine for it. Is there any way I can get XYPlorer to respect ...

Extremely Slow Right-Click or Properties
{Sorry I've been looking through the forums for an answer but search will not let me look for "slow right click"} So every time I right click an file in XYPlorer it takes 20 seconds for the Properties menu to come up. I've used shexview.exe (nirsoft util) to exercise the daemons but no ava...

Re: XYplorer wont fire up on 2008 Server R2 64x
OK I deleted my profile from another admin account and re-logged in. All is well. Windows Wierdness.
I'm not going to worry about it. Everything is fine now.

Re: XYplorer wont fire up on 2008 Server R2 64x
It exhibits the same problem with a full install or the 'standalone'.
Hmm. "Desktop Experience feature". That gives me a clue to look into. I'll check that out.

XYplorer wont fire up on 2008 Server R2 64x
Double click on the XYPlorer icon and nothing happens. This is Windows Server 2008 R2 64x. It is running under VMware.
All I get is this strange error log:
xyerrorlog-2011-02-16_15-37-30.txt

Main: 481 - Invalid picture
Any thoughts?

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Well this feature is definitely broken for me. I can enable shell integration but I cannot dis-able it through the Configuration option in XYPlorer. * I uninstalled XYPlorer and cleaned all salient registry keys. * Reboot reinstall. Do NOT launch from installer. Reboot for good measure. * Fire up XY...

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Ah, I forgot that BETAs are only for registered users. But I show you how to remove ths other stuff from your registry: you simply have to delete the subkey "XYplorer" under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell and under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell . Fair enough. After I expunge XYplorer f...

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Thanks for the report. I improved the uninstaller so you should be the last user who experienced this. From now on the uninstaller resets resp. removes any registry keys that might have been set to XYplorer using Shell Integration. So one way for you would be to install and then uninstall the next ...

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
OK this is going from bad to worse for me. I've uninstalled XYplorer completely and now when I click on some folders, for example the Downloads folder or Favorites folder I get the Dialog Box: ---- C:\Users\Daniel\Favorites Application not found OK ---- Also the right click menu option "XYplore...

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Yes. I'm pretty sure I let the installer launch the application after the installation completed. FYI for whoever needs to know.

Re: XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Hi, I wonder how you were able the check the boxes in the first place? Did you maybe run the app directly from the installer GUI (which should not elevate the app but who knows...)? Don "Run the app directly from the installer GUI"... not quite sure what you mean by that. If you mean that...

XYplorer 8.9 Shell Intergration - bug
Hi, I turned on XYplorer shell intergration to have a peek at this feeature. I'm trying to turn it OFF. When I uncheck "XYplorer is default file manager" or "XYplorer in shell context menu" I receive the message "You need admin rights for this setting". I press OK and n...
