Some of the apps I use do not have a 64-bit version, so they only interface with the default menu.

I would, however, the XYPlorer context menu items do not appear on the 64-bit menu. There does not seem to be a way to add these to a particular menu.

Windows 11 - Why are there two right-click menus?

In Windows 11 there seems to be two of the right-click menus: The standard one, and the 64-bit version. The problem is that when I install programs/apps, some apps put their shortcuts into one menu, or the other, but not both. Having to hunt for the correct menu item each time makes the right-click ...

Re: Is there a built-in FTP ?

I currently use Power Desk. I am not sure what that uses. I just enter my website info, and password one time, then it automatically connects whenever I need it. The power desk blurb from their website is copied below. They don't offer much more. "PowerDesk FTP - Connect to your FTP accounts in...

Re: Is there a built-in FTP ?

Thank you for the response.
The FTP transfer capability would be a very useful item. I have to update websites regularly, and it would be so convenient to simply do it from XYPlorer.

Perhaps in the future...

Is there a built-in FTP ?

I switched to XYPlorer several years ago, and have never looked back. There is however, one feature I have not been able to find yet - a built-in FTP transfer. In Power Desk (another file program), there used to be a built in FTP so that I could upload files directly to my website. It would simply s...

Create Script to go to a Shortcut?

On the toolbar, you can add a custom button to run a script.

Two questions:
1. what language do I use for the script? I have tried several commands, but none seem to work
2. I just want to make a simple custom button that links to a specific directory on the hard drive. Any ideas how to do this?

Re: Is there a way to copy just the file names?

Ok, Found it, it was already checked. I did not see it the first time since I had the 64-bit menu checked, and it does not appear in that one. Since I unchecked the 64-bit context menu it shows up and works perfectly. It would be nice to be able to get the features from both menus in one. Next versi...

Re: Is there a way to copy just the file names?

Thank you both for your responses.

The Ctrl+Shift+P works great.
My context menu does not have the "context menu -> To Clipboard -> Item Name(s)". Is there a way to add it?

Is there a way to copy just the file names?

I am new to the later versions of XYPlorer, the last I had was version 8. I now have a license for the latest version. :?: :?: I need to be able to highlight a group of files, and copy just the filenames. I found the "copy as path" feature, however that does not give me what I need. I need...

Re: Preview pane opens files instead of preview

I figured out what the difference was, I have both Office 2003 and 2007 installed (our company is transitioning over to 2007, but many clients still use 2003). When the file extension is modified to open with a particular file, the "Advanced" button changes to "Restore". This is ...

Script Program Language

Please forgive the stupid question, but what program language is the script written in? I know several, but I do not recognize the examples I have seen.

If this is a proprietary language, where can I get a syntax / command reference?

Re: Preview pane opens files instead of preview

Thank you for your response. I looked at both of the links provided, however neither was able to help. The link on FAQ I had already tried, but I do not have the "Advanced" option as indicated in the instructions. The other one seems focused on Vista and Office 2007. I have Windows XP and ...

Preview pane opens files instead of preview

This topic seems to have been discussed previously, however I can not find discussions where the preview pane tries to open the documents for all MS office file types and PDFs as well. I have also not been able to find a solution that works for me. I use Windows XP - SP2, with both MS office 2003 an...
