yes it works fine with Splayer of course wmplayer plays video too but I prefer Splayer. I'm only using it to play one file of course.

WOW thanks for the Uber great reply - you covered all the angles having these options in the catalogue is very convenient - I couldnt find how to do it in the manual - must have been looking in the wrong place.

I understand it is possible to make a catalogue item that you can click on to sort the files in a pane for instance to show only txt files (or at least highlight them). But how?

sorry it's completely my fault!!! If I chose icons instead of list it looks the same as explorer and if I chose list in windows explorer they are the same size as XYplore, my mistake - It's just I was used to Totalcommander and in list view in TC the ions are a lot bigger.

sorry I was referring to the icon size for the folders displayed in the double panes not the explorer tree.
The settings I already have for icons sizes in Windows display settings gives me nice sized folders already in windows explorer so why not XY?

My eyesight isn't so great these days and the default folder icons are very small to me as well as the label text tht goes with them, any way to make em bigger?

Cant find anything in options so maybe not possible?

Thanks for those ideas, will have a play with them. It's all because I miss the feature in TotalComander where there is a little * at the top of each panel (so each panel has one) and you click it to get a favourite drop down list. Hmm maybe i should add this to the wish list?

I would like to have 2 so that I can have one on either side of the toolbar one above the left panel one above the right but cant see how to do it.

Would be nice to have FTP built in. So many even free filemanagers have it now. Quite a lot of people these days are maintaining a web site and being able to upload files to their web page with FTP would be handy.
