Adding the exclusions to Security Essentials didn't make a whole lot of difference. It still takes 1-15 seconds for XYplorer to initially open up. I have noticed this too with version 11.40. It takes almost 10 seconds to open to my C drive. This should be almost instantaneous. Yes. The left-hand pane is the Tree and that is where I was deleting a folder from. It did not remove the folder.

Are you deleting the folder in the left hand pane? It will not automatically refresh the left hand pane. If I delete the folder in the right hand pane, the left hand pane refreshes as it should. This problem happens on both my Vista and XP computers.

That is correct. It should be automatically removed from the left hand pane and focus placed on the parent folder.
