Re: FTP support
I leave FTP to TC. There should be at least something where it's better than XY. TC's (s)FTP is fine if all you want to do is browse and/or upload/download files. If you actually want to edit the files, e.g. web-development TC's solution is worse than useless. Everytime you save the file locally, y...

Re: FTP support
While there are a few other (newer) FTP Request threads. This one has the most posts (24+ vs 3 or 4). I realize XYplorer will likely not get internal FTP or sFTP support. Which is unfortunate, as it doesn't need to be built from the ground up. The libcURL pkg and SSH2 (libssh2.dll) could be interfac...

Re: Custom user columns (using plugin system)
Sorry, alexizeld Didn't mean to usurp the thread. The various Commanders (and some non-commanders) support descript.ion files. Wherein the comment is stored in a flatfile in the same directory as the file itself. Format: 1) filename.ext Comment to display until a normal newline encountered. 2) "...

Re: Thanks to Stefan for the Scripting How-to
@Stefan, wow lot of info there - haven't digested it all yet. I've been using AutoHotkey for almost 3 years now. XYplorer's internal scripting seems well thought out and powerful - but with AHK one can make a GUI (menu, tooltips, ListView, ListBox, etc). I seen the thread about running a script from...

Re: Like a new feature? Say thanks here
Checking out XYplorer again, have become quite fed up with my File Manager of choice. There's definitely some features missing in XYPlorer, some I may be able to live without (in general). And a definite difference in some features, and/or different naming scheme. Yet there are other features that h...

Breadcrumb Helpfile documentation
I'm used to clickable breadcrumbs in the Addressbar (Explorer and other File Managers implement a version of this). Implementing such, would likely be an undertaking. Thus I thought perhaps it could be displayed somehow on the TAB via a modifier click (Shift+Click or such)... only to realize right c...

Tab Menu (Main Menu / View -> Tab)
Note: Unable to search the forum for "menu tab" as too common search terms.
The Tab Menu is quite large, with a number of sub-folders in itself.
Any consideration to moving the Tab menu into the Main Menu as opposed to a child of "View" ?

Ah! "Show All Items in Branch" is a custom search result in a virtual folder/tab.
XYPlorer's search options are extensive.

SubDir Branch View?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm re-evaluating XYPlorer again. And trying to figure out if it can do things that I use frequently. Or if such a feature goes by a different name --- or has an alternate way (possibly with it's built in scripting). SubDir Branch View -> flattens the current folder, sho...

Possible to have an Address Bar per panel?
I'm not familiar enough with the XYPlorer to know if this is possible or not.
I don't see it in the settings, or the helpfile, and doesn't appear to be a Feature Wish...
Is it possible to have an Address Bar per panel? so that each panel's path is visible even when the panel is not active?

How to save a Rename Special / Regex Rename ?
Is it possible to save a Regex Rename - and select from a list of your saved rename regular expressions when you want to rename a group of files?
I see mention of templating in the help file, but it seems to refer to the other aspects of Rename Special.

Re: Custom user columns (using plugin system)
What about just supporting the columns that Explorer does natively? They should be system available without any "plugin" system required. The ability to utilize custom columns and custom column templates, and/or Specific Custom Column Template to be applied for a given Directory path --- w...

Re: Please put the submenus back under the View Menu
I'd look in an Options menu. But then, my menu's of choice aren't aligned with what XYplorer uses. F ile, E dit, M ark, V iew, G o, T ools, O ptions, S tart Start appears to be akin to XY's User menu. Tools should be ... Tools ... things that do some kind of action or multi-step command, i.e. Openin...
