Re: Refresh and F5 do not work
I just tested it on another machine. It worked as I wanted there, too. It also showed me red X's for drives that had "timed out." If anyone wants to explain what exactly happens when XY or Explorer puts the "red mark" on a drive and then clicking it "wakes it up," I'd b...

Re: Refresh and F5 do not work
By clearing this checkbox, it made the behavior work as I want. I read the help info on this, and that explains why I originally wanted it checked. I am used to seeing red lines or something in Explorer (which I still do use sometimes) when a drive is not available. (The drives seem to time out or s...

Re: Refresh and F5 do not work
A number of points to make. I looked in the View menu from top to bottom when F5 didn't work, and saw Refresh F5, which of course didn't work for the tree. Silly me? I am used to F5 refreshing everything. Second, if it refreshes the right-hand pane, why not the left? Third, I just did the test, and ...

Re: Refresh and F5 do not work
01. Nothing makes it show the four folders until I exit the program and go back in, by which I mean quitting the program and then restarting it "freshens" the network drive in the left pane. 02. I just played with this. It seems to work the way I want on the C: drive on this PC, which is a...

Re: Refresh and F5 do not work
Yes, B: is a network drive -- mapped to \\FS\BACKUPS. The config you asked for is attached.

Refresh and F5 do not work
XYplorer: 27.20.0600 (32-bit) - Lifetime License Professional Windows 11 Pro 100% The attached shows what I'm talking about. Notice how the right-hand pane shows four folders, but the left-hand pane is still showing the old two folders. I have hit F5. I have auto-refresh on. Nothing makes it show th...

Re: Thoughts about buying the one-year free upgrade license, versus the lifetime free upgrade license.
I wouldn't feel punished at all if the upgrade cost was the difference between the lifetime and one-year licenses!

Re: Thoughts about buying the one-year free upgrade license, versus the lifetime free upgrade license.
I did a search on "upgrade cost" and I found this thread. The reason I searched is the principle of the thing. When I discovered XYplorer even existed -- I had finally looked for a replacement for the lame thing that Windows comes with -- I didn't know whether to pay $35 (one year of upgra...

Re: STATUS BAR SEEMING WRONG INFO
I have tried to duplicate it myself, and I cannot. All I can say is I was a newbie (first day) and didn't like the dual-pane stuff or the initial three tabs (I think) that were in effect, so I was fooling around with getting rid of tabs and one pane. At some point (later that day), as I became more ...

Re: STATUS BAR SEEMING WRONG INFO
This is almost starting to look like "user error" or RTFM! I had turned off DUAL PANE for now, as evidenced, I think, by the pictures I sent. (I also have since turned off the BREADCRUMB BAR.) In any case, YES, when I turned DUAL PANE on, the top pane became COMPUTER, and there were three ...

Re: STATUS BAR SEEMING WRONG INFO
Wow, you're not going to believe this. (OK, maybe you will.) First, to answer your question, the answer is YES, I close and restart, and it ends up with 'B:\'. Now, more info than you need but I want to give, the shortcut I use to launch XYplorer in this context is in a NEXUS toolbar (NEXUS because ...

Re: STATUS BAR SEEMING WRONG INFO
I've been a programmer for a very long time (including Windows GUI from Petzold to Visual platforms), so my natural tendency is to want to look at the code. On the other hand, even though I'm a newbie when it comes to XYplorer, I can see the attention to, and coordination of, details in the product....
