1) That seems to have made things better. I am now able to access these directories albeit still pretty slow. Roughly 5 seconds to change into a directory. As a test, I repeated the same actions in Windows Explorer and FreeCommander and there were no issues. 2) Can't seem to repeat the error message...

Correct. I wiped out the temp folder and the config folders in %APPDATA%. I also tried the portable version. Seems to be only happening when there are a few pdfs in the directory I am trying to switch to. I am currently scanning my drives to see if I have any bad sectors but there is nothing reporte...

Still broken for me. XY 24.10 with folder size off. Happens when I change directories. I double-click a directory, wait 30 seconds, press Esc because it isn't working, asks me to abort, I say yes. After a few of these messages, I get error 9. XY 24.10 is currently unusable.
