Re: File Managers

Sounds like XYplorer is protecting your work. Previously tracked a similar issue down to a plain old hardware IO bandwith issue. Once that was solved the problematic software causing the issue here returned to working correctly when under load. How so? A lot of times File Explorer handles the opera...

Re: File Managers

From a XYplorer noob: -I use ACDSee for dealing with images, for all kinds of reasons. Unfortunately, if you move images outside of ACDSee, you mess up ACDSee's catalog, so it has to be used always for schlepping images (I'm sure an insurmountable hassle, programming-wise). -For "regular"...

Thanks, my trial is over unfortunately. I stopped using it froze constantly. I'd try to troubleshoot if I had more trial time but I don't want to commit and buy it with the issues I was having.

Re: File Operations Frequently Freeze XYplorer partially or Until Until Complete

Can't see any image so a bit hard to troubleshoot. It would help if you could give repro steps to recreate the problem you are seeing. Thanks. My trial ran out so I can't really take screenshots anymore :( . The repro steps are: 1. Copy or drag/drop files. That's it. It randomly, but frequently, ju...

I'm not sure what you mean. I've handed over file transfers to TeraCopy, so XYplorer shouldn't even be the one doing the file operations and it still freezes. I get the attached image a lot too, with file transfers and randomly otherwise.

Re: File Managers

Apparently XYplorer freezes up too. Looks like it's time to search for a decent File Explorer Again Under what circumstances? I won't say it's never locked up on me but I don't actually remember it ever having done so - suggesting to me that it's rare enough to be a non-issue. Which also suggests t...

File Operations Frequently Freeze XYplorer partially or Until Until Complete

Many times I perform a file operation, such as a move or delete, and it hangs the entire system up, sometimes until the file operation finishes.

Is it possible to increase the size of ONLY files shown and NOT everything below the toolbar together?

I'm still working through my trial of XYplorer, and so far it's been pretty good. I often want to zoom in/out, and when I CTRL+Scroll, everything changes size–The folder path at top, file tree, file names, etc. Can I set it to only increase/decrease the "sub-window" showing the files? Like...
