I stole my laptop back from my son for an hour and I couldn't reproduce the initial issue. Reboot after reboot. All was/is well.

I was fairly certain it wouldn't be. I forgot to see if I could reproduce it with a fresh instance butt will get to it at some point today and report back.

There is no "start with Windows" configuration within XY. You need to do the opposite what WirlyWirly said. Remove the 32bit .exe from the Windows start menu.

At which time and what was the sender email? I delete them as soon as I read them, but looking at my deleted folder I see there were three notification emails overnight. Plus one from your reply just now. All four were semt from support at xyplorer.com. The sending times (all US Eastern) are 2:15am...
