Is that the toolbar or system tray?
When you say the icon "just showed up" do you mean it wasn't there one minute and then it magically appeared?
Or did you shut down XY and when you relaunched it the icon was there?
Or did it show up after you updated XY?

Save a backup of all your settings/customizations, then make a default/out-of-the-box version of XY and run that for a few hours. See if the problem occurs. No need to do any of that. No. fresh; will open up a new instance of XY with all default settings. Your original instance will not be touched.

It probably hasn't been resolved because for whatever reason you refuse to read and follow the forum rules. Don has stated previously that users who do not follow the forum rules will get taken care of after he takes care of those who follow the rules.
