XYplorer 26.80 has been released on 18-Jan-2025. Here’s a quick introduction to the main new features:
Rounded Corners. Major facelift, many corners are now rounded by default. You can, of course, also opt for square corners if you prefer.
By default, toolbar buttons, tabs, and selections have rounded corners now:
Rounded corners all over.
You can control those elements individually. For example, to make the tabs square, set the tab visual style to XYplorer Style:
Making square tabs.
With everything set to square corners, the above screenshot looks like this:
Square corners all over.
To change the selection corners go to Configuration | Colors and Styles | Highlights & Dark Mode | Selections.
To change the toolbar button corners go to Tools | Customize Toolbar... | Options.
Note that the roundness of the window corners in Windows 11 is controlled by Windows.
Lock Scroll Position. By default, the tree expands and scrolls to the current position as needed. If you don't like the constant jumping up and down, you can now fix the tree in its current scroll position. This keeps the tree view still and potential drop targets in view.
This happens by default when you switch tabs between locations that are far apart:
The tree is scrolled to the very top.
Now the tree is scrolled way down.
If you want to keep the folder tree where it is, check Lock Scroll Position in the Tools | Customize Tree menu. Tip: A quick way to access this menu is to hold down the Shift key and right-click anywhere in the white of the tree.
Checking Lock Scroll Position in the Shift+RightClick menu.
Now the tree does not jump to the new location after switching tabs:
The tree stays calm.
Of course, you can still scroll the tree manually. The Lock Scroll Position setting only controls automatic scrolling.
Many Other Improvements. See change log (about 1.5 MB).
