Image too large for thumbnail...

Post by perthbus.info »

I trialled v7.90 of xyplorer and was so impressed I've bought the latest version. However, I've now discovered that I cannot view thumbnails in the current version because the photo dimensions are too big. I work mostly with digital images which are 4288 x 2848 or scans of transparencies at 4800 x 2989.

In the earlier version there was a setting under "Configure Thumbnails" where the maximum size of an image could be increased so that xyplorer would create thumbnails for bigger images. This setting appears absent in the latest version. Is there a workaround? A registry setting that can be edited?

Hi and welcome,

this setting has been turned into a tweak. In new installations the value is 0 (= unlimited size).

In your case you have to look for MaxArea in the INI file and set it to 0 (zero):

Code: Select all

; Tweak: max area of thumbed images, 0 = unlimited
MaxArea=0
For tweaking see How to tweak.
