    * Flat View: On a mixed Flat View (i.e. /:flat = showing files and
folders), any Visual Filters or Name Search patterns from now on
only apply to files, not to folders. In other words, all folders
      always pass any filters.
This fine feature, combined with level-indent and tree-like sort

example a tree showing only images or only EXE files. Hot stuff!
it becomes more and more interesting!

In other words: a good idea!
You said it brother - this is awesome.

Thank you for supercharging an already fantastic feature into an even more powerful one!

Scripting is what I'm saying THANKS for here and now as my 5,000th post here! Yes, I know that scripting has been in XY for a LONG time but it was only in last 2 days that I really was able to take advantage of it for a task that I needed to do, and will need to do again in future...While the amt of time it took to create the script may possibly have matched/exceeded how long it would have taken to edit files manually, it was done with much less chance of errors and no boring repetetive typing which is hard for me....

I got a HUGE amt of the needed code from Stefan and with some aid from highend and TheQwerty, plus a lot of stepping thru script to test and research, I got it to work enough so it can be shared as it's something that may be of use to others.

See http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7703.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

+ Configuration | Fonts | Main Contents: Now you can control which
of the main controls (List, Tree, Catalog, Address Bar, Tabs)
adjust to the custom size of the Main Contents font ...
Thanks very much for adding this. I was unhappy with the recent change that unconditionally applied the main font size to the tabs since I routinely work with 20 fixed tabs and even with abbreviated renaming, there was no longer enough horizontal space to fit them in my layout. Now things are back to how I had it.

Configuration: Added button "Jump to Setting..." (F3). Shows an
alphabetically ordered list of all settings available in the
Configuration dialog, along with a live filter box. From there you
can jump directly to a setting to check or modify it.
Yeah! Ok, the highlighting doesn't look that nice (can we have an option to only
focus an entry without highlighting it?) but the feature itself.... Fantastic!

Just tried it and it will be esp helpful to new users of XY who can get lost in all the options so making it very clear where it's at should reduce "how do I" posts here, I think.

I agree that this feature is GREAT! and wish it'd been around long ago! :D -- It may prove to be one of the features most useful to the most users unlike some which are more esoteric or power-user related.

EDITED: Copied original post to http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 581#p70581 to keep this thread cleaner.

I'm not a new user and I asked for _an option_ to turn it off. Nobody said that it should be the default :)
