Tab pairs

Post by Borut »

I apologise if this possibility already exists, or if it has already been discussed/proposed here.

I have a lot of prepared tabs in both panes. The nature of what I do requires to have pairs of folders visible at the same time, i.e. for a selected tab in pane 1 I have to select a specific tab in pane 2. This I have to do often.

It would be nice to have something like a tab property "partner tab", to which user could assign a tab from the other pane. If the property would be defined by the user, later focusing on such a tab (in either pane) would invoke automatic focusing of the "partner tab" in the opposite pane (if that tab still exists there).

Thank you. Regards,

Hi,

Interesting. I don't think this has ever been wished. Currently it is not possible, and my road map does not lead this way in the foreseeable future. But I would think it can be done via scripting. But I will leave this to the experts...

Don

PS: if you neatly align your tab pairs (1st tab pane 1 == 1st tab pane 2; 2nd tab pane 1 == 2nd tab pane 2; etc.) then it would be just a simple switch for me to add ("Sync Tabbing" or so?)...

Yes, a "Sync Tabbing" option would already be of help. Thank you.
