Selection on entire NAME column.

Is it possible to have a third option for selecting file on list?
Entire NAME column (nameofthefile + white space under "name column" only) could be sensitive to mouse click when trying to selecting a file, instead of current "full row select" or "click name only" (bad against short named files!).

Non-obvious reason for this: user can control the size of the sensitive field. Useful when lost behind dozens of windows on a limited screen resolution.

Even less obvious but important to my concerns is the tagging/sticky selection manipulation: that would be very easier to handle tags plus avoiding undesired tagging while scrolling up and down the list.

Wondering on this a bit more... When I click on XY via taskbar (ALT+TAB not always a viable option, with dozens of windows opened at a time), I normally have to copy-and-paste a file's info/path, or start it via CKS with external apps. But when I click anywhere else except the file I need to work with, it causes losing of selection. "Selection on name column" could allow selection as it currently does - clicking on white space leads to de-selection of file (causing user to look for it and select it again - think on dozens of files/folders in a list and you'll got the picture...), but clicking on any other column could be ignored thus RETAINING current selection allowing any of the above operations instantly, without the hassle of scrolling up and down after a file you can't even remember what it is, if you are task-switching all of the time...
That would be certainly cool!

Works a treat!
No problems with the sensitive field anymore ("full row select" disabled), nor with the tags usage ("Toggle tags by Tag column click" ON). But I still would like to have the ability to keep select file(s) even if I LEFT mouse-click either a) non-NAME columns' white space (row containing files or not, since now "full row select" can be switched off despite preserving control over the entire resize-able NAME column) or b) NAME column's white space (which I do not prefer, but still an option - I just had to reposition XY window behind the other app I'm working with and left click on it, keeping current XY selected files and retrieving to the app whatever info/file path I need to).

Tools > Customize List > Full Row Select.
