Hidden Files & Folders

Before I started using XY I always had "hide hidden files" option on. However, I often found myself manually typing in and accessing these hidden folders on occasion, but I never had to continually look at them clutter the file system.

When the option, "show hidden files" is disabled in XY you are completely denied access to these folders. Even after typing in a directory there a prompt denying access to these folders because you have it hidden. I am often having to go change it under view, change items because I often access these files & folders.

This is rather a small annoyance and is always slowing me down. I know these folders are there, but I have them hidden for a reason. I don't want to see them, not that I need protection against myself from them. It would be nice have the option to "Protect me from hidden files." or "Deny access to hidden/system" files.

I know what you mean, and I had tried to improve this but it turned out that it leads to certain difficulties. It's not possible to go to a folder that's not there, and it's also not possible to just show one hidden folder just in time. Note that "not possible" here means: the work needed to achieve this is not worth it in my opinion and in relation to the other work that I have on my list.
