Optional Tab Header and Tree color for last visited location

I am always working with at least 10 and sometimes more tabs corresponding to individual attached drives, each with a locked home zone. Typically, I am creating or accessing locations in one of these tabs, and then go to the first tab in the row where I select something to copy/move over to that previous location. The problem is -- it's hard to remember which of these 10 tabs I need to drop the copy/move drag onto. Now, I know I can find and go to the last used tab via the Recent Locations menu or via the Go to Previous Location (F7) function. But this requires extra steps and I don't usually want to go to the previous location --- I just want to quickly and easily know which tab it is in for dropping the copy/move drag.

So my suggestion is for an optional Tab Header color configuration in Colors & Styles for specifying "Last Visited". Similarly, an optional Tree color for Last Visited location would also be helpful.

I think that in your usage case, the "last visited" would actually then be the tab where the file currently resides...what you're wanting is the "prior last visted", right?

For now, I'd maybe suggest altering your work flow so that you establish a destination tab and then review the source tab for any/all files going there, then move to next destination and repeat..

Not really, or not as I would interpret it. In my case, what is currently referred to as the Open Tab is the tab in which I currently have focus and is where I am selecting the file(s) to drag. The Last Visited tab would be the location where I just had been previously -- ie. the previous Open Tab -- and which is where I now want to copy/move the dragged file(s), while typically, still maintaining focus in my current Open Tab.

This doesn't work for me, because I don't know in advance (nor do I care) which drive tab I am going to be using as the current destination, and it's often a different drive tab each time. This is because, 99% of the time, I start with a fast regexp search across all these drives with a separate program (Everything.exe) and come into the corresponding locked home zone XYplorer tab by clicking on a folder found in the Everything.exe results list. Then once I'm there, I do some checking, possible renames etc. before going to the source tab from which I copy/move files over.

i like this idea i happen to have same situations and "Last used tab indication" would be useful.
but somehow, Search shouldn't be counted in this, so to not make tab from which it's started as last used('cause search is already next to it).
