Don,
I think the middle-mouse button behavior of closing tabs is going to be problematic for my ADD friend. Is there any way to disable it currently? If not, then although full mouse-customization is far away into the future, if at all, perhaps you can at least for now put an option in the Tab configuration similar to the entry there for Double-Click? Most of time, her tabs will be locked with home zone locations, but she'll often be doing searches with new tabs so she can go between various result tabs -- another reason why your change to prevent auto-scan will be very helpful. She relies on search to find stuff, because her organizing skills are poor.

F9 - Jump to Setting... - "On dbl" - "OK" - Use something different than "Close tab"?

But my problem is with the middle-mouse click, not the double-click. The double-click I have set to Go Home.highend wrote:F9 - Jump to Setting... - "On dbl" - "OK" - Use something different than "Close tab"?

Sorry, you're right. Quite late here in Germany
Give X-Mouse Button Control a try: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMou ... ontrol.htm
It is able to intercept clicks for configured applications so you're able to (at least) disable the middle click inside XYplorer.
Just tested it, works flawlessly.

That's an interesting proposition, though it adds complexity I prefer to avoid. But I'll look into it if Don doesn't want to add a Middle-Click Tab config option.highend wrote:Give X-Mouse Button Control a try: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMou ... ontrol.htm

I think something similar was promised by Don as part of Custom Event Actions, some way down on the roadmap.

Re: Any way to disable the middle-mouse button closing of ta
I could add "On middle-click" analog to "On dbl-click" to Configuration / Tabs. Interested anybody?
