New User: Can XYPlorer do...

Post by CodePoet »

I'm reviewing XYPlorer and looking for it to handle a couple of functions that Total Commander does -- are these possible in XYPlorer either natively or via script/plugin? I havent' found them yet:

- Archive (ZIP) viewing - view contents of the archive from XYPlorer
- FTP access from XYPlorer to drag/drop to FTP folders.

Hello,

no, you can't. Of course you can drag folder from XY to your FTP software or vice versa, but within XY there's no FTP support currently.

The "no, you can't" covered both questions. :)

Actually, there's a "sort of" way to preview a zip file -- if you have preview enabled, you can see a "folder-type" view showing the files in the zip file (as you would see it in IE).

There may be something that you have to do to enable this, but I can't remember for sure...

I hope this helps!

Yep, INI Tweak:
OfficePreviewCustomExtensions=.zip.

should this (*.zip.) be set as a default entry in the ini file and use the tweak to add or remove?
