How to enable CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=6 ?

I said you *might* have had a typo, so that it really was:

Path=C:\program_settings\XYplorer

Is it so that you missed the Path= in that file?

If it's so, and the contents of your lastini.dat specifies the current ini to use, then we (at least I) finally understand why your used ini is
C:\program_settings\XYplorer\Christophers_XYplorer_Settings.ini

OK: I wrongly assumed (from your listing of startup.ini) that your Appdata folder would be C:\program_settings\XYplorer

So please verify the contents of the startup.ini, located in the same folder as the executed XYplorer.exe - is it really

this 1) is bad syntax as the 2nd line should start with Path=, and it 2) points to a folder differing from what your "Various Information" shows.

And please enter
..echo %appdata%
into the XY Address Bar, and show the result.

If these tests don't shed a light on the situation I'm afraid I have no more ideas...

That is the correct syntax which is in my startup.ini file located in my custom preference folder, the folder in which you can tell xy to place all your preferences, but the startup.ini file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer reads;

OK: no syntax error on your side now, and other path than before.

So we now know, that and why your ini should be (and is shown as):
C:\Custom Program Settings\XYplorer\Christophers_XYplorer_Settings.ini
- and we can forget my typo ::echo %appdata% would have been correct. But no matter, as your [Appdata] now shows a valid path.

Now you wrote, that after Save Settings the aforementioned file does not show CEA_TreeRightClickOnWhite - that's strange. Is your current user allowed to write the ini file / to that folder?

Please look at and remember: in that file, of section [General], the entries starting with Win... (all rather at the top.) Then:
If you change size and location of your XY window, save settings, close and reopen XY: is it opened at the old or at the new location? Check the values seen in the ini file: changed?

You might want XY to use the default ini filename again? In XY:
- click File / Settings Special / Save Configuration as...
- your folder C:\Custom Program Settings\XYplorer should be shown
- select XYplorer.ini
This should save your current settings to XYplorer.ini again, and change lastini.dat to point to XYplorer[.ini.]
Compare Christophers_XYplorer_Settings.ini and XYplorer.ini :
- different or not?
- CEA_TreeRightClickOnWhite to be found in either?
