Cannot see my smartphone

Post by fieldrabbit21 »

Hi,

I have 8.50 installed. When I connect my smartphone to a usb port, I cannot see its directories in XYplorer. In Windows Explorer they are visible.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

regards,
henry

Hi zer0,
Thanks for your reply. Will go thru the forum first nxt time.

It is unfortunate though that smartphones/ mobile devices are not supported, while these are in so popular use.

It's not entirely true that Smart Phones aren't supported. I can see my BlackBerry in the tree. I think the key are presence of a storage medium (SDHC, Memory Stick Duo, etc) and ability to connect via vanilla USB port. Personally, I've never come across a device (mobile phone, digital camera, smart phone, etc) whose storage medium was not recognised by XYplorer.
