2 bugs concerning .html folders
1. Use "copy here" for a .html/_files pair, dragging from a pane to another. XYplorer will do, but usng "backup here" will not.
2. Now, move those files into another folder using the .html file as base to moving: both files will go. Undo the action: only the .html file goes back to its original place.

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
1. say you have test.html and its pair test_files folder (Firefox saves separately .htm or .html files apart from files, which go under a '_files' folder). If you right click one of them over the opposite pane and choose 'copy here', XYplorer will correctly copy both htm and its folder. 'backup here' will not, copying only the dragged file or folder to its destination. I have mixed feelings on this as sometimes I'd like to have the option as it is, ie, copying only the file or the folder at will. Make it optional and this will be consistent and preserve user choice. Keep it as it is and this may be called a bug.
2. similarly, move the file and the folder into another folder using the .html file as base to moving: both file and folder will go. Now, undo the action: only the .html file goes back to its original place when the pair should be back home. Internally, XYplorer should look for a companion file or folder when undoing .htm/.html/_folder items.

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
Maybe it's too early and still don't understand it, but I cannot repro it here. All dragged items are copied to the other pane, whether Copy Here or Backup Here.
I don't understand "using the .html file as base to moving". What functionality is this?

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
"using the .html file as base to moving" = when you pick either the .html file or its _folder folder to just move them to the opposite pane. Right click the file/folder, keep the button pressed, move the mouse pointer over to the opposite pane and choose "move here".
Please note, it's not about selecting both test.htm and test_folder, it's about picking ONE OR ANOTHER and applying chosen move or backup action equally to both (or not, as I stated - sometimes you just need to copy the test.htm and being stuck with a hardcod-ed action to 'irrevocably always treat them as a single file' can be an annoyance, too).Maybe it's too early and still don't understand it, but I cannot repro it here. All dragged items are copied to the other pane, whether Copy Here or Backup Here.

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
I never get the case that I drag one file and two files are copied. I don't think this is a feature of XY no matter how the items are named. Help, do I need (even) more coffee???

No. Take a deep breath, save an internet page using Firefox or Opera, choosing 'html pages with files' and move the '.html' resulting file around. Voilá, you'll see the '_files' FOLDER moving along with it.
Now, take your 3rd cup. lol

OK, let me guess: You are not on WinXP, right?

This problem happens on XP, 7 and 8.
Anybody else can confirm this or not?

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
I might have a blackout but I think I never heard about this phenomenon (move one file and others come along magically). Is there a name for this feature (which my XP does not appear to have)?

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
Have you done what I suggested, saved a web page under Firefox or Opera and tried to move one (.html) or other (_files folder) resulting element around just to see its same named file or file getting there too? It's common as breathing, me thinks. Can anyone please try to better describe or provide the feature name, please? Google "ability to move .html and _folders along" wasn't helpful.

@Don
I have never before heard about this. However, interestingly enough, I can confirm that MSWE on WinXP SP3 really does that.
- Create a Folder TEST1
- Create a Folder TEST2
- In your web browser, go to some simple page, perhaps with a css and some images
- In your web browser, save the page "With images" (or similar, depending on the browser) into TEST1
- You should now have one *.html file in TEST1 and a subdirectory of the same name
- Start MSWE (arrgh!), go to TEST1 and D&D only the html file into TEST2
- You should be able to see that the subdirectory followed automagically.
@sweet40
I am using Opera and am saving web pages as a single *.mht file. I find this much easier to handle.

Re: 2 bugs concerning .html folders
Would it be too much to ask you to describe what you have done? Reason: anywhere I go it happens the same. WINDOWS EXPLORER treats both items as one, if one of then is picked and moved around! I'm amazed you can't even see this happening... As far as I know, this happens regardless any tweak or system customization so can't tell what's NOT happening on your side!

@borut,
Yes, you got it!
But no, I prefer to save that way so I can strip elements I may exchange for personal use, remove or even reuse.

Fascinating that you get that too. But I still don't. (yes, using MSWE)
